The Great Null Sec Push

1. WH nerf
2. Hi sec war nerf
3. Hi sec incursion nerf

It all points the same way, the long awaited 'push' to get players into null sec is in action.

Is it a coincidence that the CSM is primarily composed of null sec alliances at this point in time?
here are extracts from a high level conversation:

"damn, we dont have enough noobs to shoot here in null sec, what should we do?"
"lets convince CCP that null sec is the future of the game and encourage them to hit hi sec with the nerf bat"
"hey great idea, im on it"

In all seriousness can I ask, is this REALLY the time to be doing this?

post incarna, post Aurum, post 10k average players logged in drop - this is the time to make the push is it?

For anyone out there wanting to run a sucessful MMO, start one up now, and whenever CCP do something do THE EXACT OPPOSITE! You will be millionaires in no time.

Taking bias out of the question you've got an interesting point here.

But only CCP has the numbers to determine how many are in highsec and would leave for "better pastures" versus how many are in highsec and would simply quit.

I feel the latter is getting very, very real for many. It's 2011 and Eve is a different place to 2003. A few too many fail to realise it, including CCP imho.

At their peril.

So why isn't it happening?

It's one thing for some to say where people "should" be. If it's not happening now, using a big stick ain't gonna make it happen either.

Seems like you're forgetting to mention a few nullsec nerfs there, bro.

true. However a nerf to class 1 & 2 WHs is an indirect nerf to hi sec. The result is the same as the other points.

Malcanis "bro" there have been a few null nerfs this is true. Perhaps I am wrong, maybe the aim is to push people out of game altogether?

And a bloody good point that is too. First the Sanctums. Then the JB's.

Now caps and moons.

Yep. Nerfville. We WANT you in 0.0 but make it almost pointless. Now we'll make highsec pointless so you go to null then when you're too big and too powerful we'll nerf null... ad infinitum.....

In fairness whilst i respect your opinion it must be said that 3 of the 4 you mention here are real issues - especially when compared to the ones mentioned in the OP that simply pale by comparison.

Well, the Goons want to ruin the game.

They already infiltrated CCP.
And there's no reason to believe there won't come even more.

Just because some unshaved asshat says they want to destroy YOUR game and not THE game, (fanfest quote)
doesn't mean he's telling the truth. Some need to realize that people talk crap all day long
and just because they seem legit, there's no reason to believe any word they say.
That sucker now sits at CCP (Sreegs ?) and he's a Goon.

People believing "but he quit the goons, he's no goon anymore" need to get their face kicked with reason.

It actually makes sense, we just need to wait and see.

Unless there is some higher plot going on,
like CCP and the Kitten figuring all this out behind closed doors (ice interdiction) ...

I'd bet for the Goons to actually ruin it, just because they can.
I wish for the opposite, though. :)

... well ... we'll see.

The only constant in the universe ... is change.

It makes sense to have frequent (well, in this case years) change,
like it makes sense to have a round-robin-FOTM faction.

This actually keeps players happy,
because there's new stuff to play with,
even if it's actually old stuff.

So ... next, Gallente/Hybrids.
Who's on the list then ? Amarr ?

Good pont, CCP seems to do the opposite of what the players are wanting with those nerfs. I thought they could nerf drake and tengu, then no solo c1-c3 WH, and also mission runners would be hurt seriously. Then I suppose an incursion LP and ISK drop to nerf those. Hi-Sec would be officially broken at that point.

But would be nice for null to be attractive or cool place, why players went there. Instead having to flee burning villages is why they ended up there.

Also pvpers attitudes are kind of harsh, tbh. Not too attractive listening to them talk. Dont think any of them really made me excited to go down there, just by listening and talking to them.
