hello, I am pretty much all tengu based and since I know that the missle nerf is coming I wanted some opinions on what would be the next best thing to train for. I pretty much spend most my time PVPing and when i'm not doing that I PVE to make isks for PVP. What would be my next best option? what direction should i go? Thanx in advance! Big smile

Ooh actually go Blaster tengu... or wait Tippia's idea is hopefully going to be spot on when they inevitably realize that hams could use a slight buff even with the heavy nerf

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'm telling the truth.

Then longer term, Cruise Missile Specialisation and Caldari Battleship. The CNR will be a monster after the changes.

If you're really forward-looking, train Torpedo Spec and Minmatar Battleship as well. The Navy Typhoon will also be a monster Pirate

Keep training for the tengu?
Just because something stops being FoTM doesn't mean it stops being useful.

I wonder if the changes to HMLs will cause the magnetic infusion basin to actually become useful

ehhh it's not that bad. =)

the distance is like 90km's instead of 120, and 20% less damage. it's all to get linear with the rest of the weapons systems.

it's been a nerf in the waiting anyway, I'm sure you can still kick bootie with the tengu.

but if that's not acceptable to you, fine..... HAM is a good fall back, I suppose.

Dusted-off my HAM Drake yesterday..

Ugh. I had forgotten how much I hated 18 km range and 172 m/s without the MWD. Seriously, not being able to shoot stuff out to scram range without javelins (30 km) really sucked.

I don't really know where I'll end up, but I decided to train for all the other races. It didn't take long to get BS4 and all the turret skills to 4. Currently I'm working on all the frigates to 5 after getting all the small turrets to T2.

Cross-training really doesn't take that long until you go for T2 large turrets, and the majority of ships in EVE are medium.

I'm testing the waters with a Mach right now. So far, slightly less tank and a lot more damage. I'm liking it.

I'm betting the Mach will be the next to be nerfed though. Anything that's the best at anything always is in this game.

Machs are nice, but that's a very significant retrain for a Tengu-focused pilot.

If the OP wants to go the gunnry route, then CNR -> Nightmare is a very viable path. The 'mare is fantastic at evaporating those pesky EM rats, while the CNR is perfect for killing Guristas and Angels.

As of now, Precision is getting a pretty serious boost. Fury is getting... changed. It will do more damage but apply it poorly and at lower ranges. Hopefully CCP gets their act together and implements the promised TC/TE changes.

Details here.

As far as I'm aware of that 100mn AB Tengu, moves at 2k a sec, closes the range for HAM verry fast, small range implant and you're nastier than you where.

It's only 20% less DPS... "not that bad"... I would hate to see what you consider "bad" LOL
