I bought Plex, now what?

I think I may have screwed up, in the past I always bought GTC and sold them here for ISK. I seen there was a sale on PLEX this weekend, and without thinking I bought 6 PLEX. But I see here I can't sell PLEX here in the marketplace as I did the GTC I have sold in the past.

I seen to have another problem as well. I have never bought PLEX before, and I don't even see it anywhere in game. Where do I find the PLEX I bought? I have logged out of the game, and then back in again, but I don't see it anyplace. Not in items or in wallet. Where the heck is it? lol

And then back to my original question how do I sell it now that I bought it?

You have to redeem them

Go to the station where you want to sell them.

Then hit escape. There's a redeem items button. redeem it on the appropriate character and then it's an in game object you can sell on the market.

I hit escape and the redeem button, but all I get is a message saying I have no tokens, and nothing to redeem. Cry

If you /just/ bought them, they can take a while to show up. Normally not more than a couple of hours, in my experience.

An option:

Redeem PLEX

Wait 30 seconds

Open Assets tab

Click on search subtab within Assets window and search " PLEX " without the "" on the character that you redeemed plex with.

My guess is Steve is correct, and I just have to wait a while for it to show up. Just a little scary when you buy something for $100 and then it doesn't appear.

Go to the station where you want to sell the PLEXes. You're going to sell them in-game, via the in-game Market function. I always sell and buy PLEXes in Jita, so that's where I'd advise you to fly to. Once you're there, and in dock, use the "redeem item" function, and redeem all your PLEXes. I think your best bet is to sell them as seperate Sell Orders, that it put up 6 Sell Orders for 1xPLEX each, rather than sell them all in one lump. If you have no trade skillz, you may not be able to create 6 Sell Orders at once (I'm not sure), but just create 3 or 4, then sell the remainder next weekend.

I ended up getting the Plex about an hour or so after buying them, and went to Jita as somebody here suggested, and redeemed them once in the station. All is well now. It was just the first time I've bought Plex, and wasn't sure of the routine. Thanks guys for the help.

Yes.

It's probably safe to undock with a single PLEX if you're in a Freighter, but basically you redeem them where you're gonna sell them. They aren't good to travel with.

People who get ganked with plex are absolute idiots. I've moved billions of loot in and out of Jita, through lowsec, wormholes, with never as much as a close call.

Moving PLEX in anything less than a Cov Ops or Blockade Runner through back alleys is suicide. Moving PLEX in anything near major hubs is pretty much suicide.

You can, though I believe that you can only redeem them again to the station they were reverse redeemed. Essentially, so you can't transport them using out of game methods.

I'd like to test the exact reverse redeem mechanism (a long time since I have not tried it) but I could not resist to dumping all my PLEXes with the recent price spike Twisted

Confirming any PLEX placed in the redeeming system is redeemed to the station in which it was placed in the redeeming system.
