Out of Pod Experience

So like, here I am, selling stuff at a fleamarket in some backwater rural area in Oz, when some young bird decides to have a chat.

She's yapping about this and that, faffing, wasting my time while I got customers queued up waiting to get served. (she likes me? I wish.)

I am able to brush her off, for a while anyway, but she starts talking about her brother as soon as the customers are looked after.

"You'd like my brother " she says, "he's kinda fat and plays games all day, you know, he's a gamer".

"Oh that's nice" I say, feigning interest, " what sort of games does he play?" I ask, trying desperately not to look at the bits I shouldn't.

"He plays this spaceship game, can't remember what it's called, but he's got the microphone and earphones and stuff and sometimes he doesn't use the earphones and like, the noise, I hear guys laughing and being stupid and he's like banging the keyboard and acts all weird and stuff..."

"hahaha" I said, "sounds a lot like the game I play."

"What's it called?" she asks.

"It's called Eve, it's pretty big around the world" I say, trying to look cool without looking where I shouldn't.

"THAT'S IT" she exclaims, "Eve. He keeps tellng me about it and how they killed all these guys and everyone laughed. But I wish he'd get out and do more. He's fat and doesn't shower and makes weird noises in the middle of the night and says they got some big battle and how they are gonna win everything and wow, it sorta sounds cool but I worry about him."

"hahaha" I laugh, "he sounds like what we call a Goon".

"Hey" she shouts out, "he is, I've heard him say they are the best and they are going to win this game and stuff, kinda exciting but weird you know? How did you know he was a, what did you call it, a Goon?" she aks.....

"Just guessing" I say, "just guessing"".

Hah, want to hear a crazy story... When I first started playing Eve on a diff toon I joined a noob friendly high sec corp. Was in there for a few months, made some friends and what not.. I mentioned something about a place I used to live, and one of my corp mates was like "oh yeah, where at in that state?" So I say where, and get a "no way I used to live there too." Long story short, one of my actual "good" friends and I reunited in the same corp after we hadn't seen each other in 4-5 years since highschool on an island in Alaska. crazy huh?
