I'm not sure either my wallet or my liver can handle a meet like that every weekend.

So like. It's my bucket? Aparently some one last night robbed the bar of the ladle from my pos fuel bucket so they couldn't serve beans this morning welp. I hope you all enjoyed the pos fuel I think in the end I had bought 8 buckets.

Was great meeting you all and great to see old friends again see you all next time.

8 at least mate ;)

Was a very fun meet once again, many thanks to those who turned up and made the night.

Quoting what I wrote on the RvB Forums as I am far too lazy to write anything else.

So, weekend was brilliant.

Proudly wore my black Red Fed T down to London on the train. As I was in first class, I obviously didnt see any eve lumpenproles to show it off to.

Got to the hotel, checked in, changed into the Mate War T I had also purchased from the rvb store, and headed over the pub. Was the first RvBer to show, but was not even close to the first eve player there. Oddly, we had been sequestered in the "family" section of the pub. Anyway, met up with a few randoms including a mate of Cali's from his wow days - all thanks to the glory of the Mate War T. Cali, Rodj & Freddy then show up and it gets serious. TG crops up looking all young and lost - after much text toing and froing due to a seeming inability to understand the tube.

Beer gets consumed, more RvBers show up including Penelope Star + Mr, Shemmy, Ethersapien, Mink + Minks bro & Tribal + missus Tribal! Other eve celebs like Seismic stan and Azual Skoll also show up and meet the RvB crowd and drink with us.

Sometime during the day I remembered the place did purple drinks and so began a spiral into messy drunkenness, interupted by meeting up with a bunch of fellow failheap posters (Lallante - also RvB, Paradox, Kithran, Mike Devoid, Shirazz, Cullnean, Malaes, tedbreakers, to name a few). Evening wears on, more and more drinks are consumed, beers, purple stuff, pos fuel, jaegerbombs and more. Then the devs arrive and along the way turns out Jon Lander/CCP Unifex wants to meet lil old me, and I give him the brush off to go have a smoke instead. I do eventually meet the guy and all is well.

Devs then tell those of us there about the new expansion and its name and release date. Something that the lol gaming press had been told to sit on till we were told (they had been told previously at eurogamer!)

Messy keeps happening until the small hours when I bail to bed after we had moved to the hotel bar, met ccp's london pr staff, been entertained by an Alpenhorn group and a magician. All in all good times were totally had.

PS: If anyone remembers meeting me or can help me piece together my night please do tell.

Yeah, you did end up at a sick after party with CCP guys and the rest. Also, you did this. Epic times were had.

Wat.

Seriously no memory of this. Did I dance the dance of my people?

Really??

You was trying to con me into dancing also, and to top it off you tried to help yourself to water in the weather spoons lol

Ok, so finally got a laptop in front of me instead of the mobile phone and able to type something longer than a couple of lines, progress!

However I'm still sat in the same bar on the comfy leather sofas... not so much progress.

Firstly huge thanks to Verone and Demetri Slavic for organising it, once again I had an epic time. You guys are win.

Was great to meet the usual crew from Veto and associates, Chieftain (I still can't believe you shoved a whole pitcher in my hands, you crazy lovable nutjob <3) Marko Drack, the Amarr Bloc, Sort Dragon and his many MANY buckets of POS fuel, Marcus Gord, Kithran, and Andreus Ixiris.

It was also a pleasure to meet many new faces (or in your case Calistai a meet that has been 7 years in the making) shout out to Mangala, Penelope and the rest of the RVB crew, the guys from ROL who proved that not everyone from ROL is Russian, the EVE Radio crew and their fun with Mega Blocks to make various EVE Ships, Jev, Aelisha, Jurou, the guys from Nulli who made an effort in smarting up (Nulli actually has class, who knew? P ) HEIMDALL AND HIS EPICLY AMAZING NAMETAGS (and I still owe you that beer next meet) Seismic Stan (I had and of course the various guys from CCP, major love to CCP Tyr who rewarded my efforts in finding all the Gallente FW people (note all 2 of them) with a free T-Shirt.

But also huge love as well to Unifex and Soundwave who not only gave us a great first bit of gossip about Retribution, but joined us until about 4:30 in the morning at the afterparty. My fuzzy memory has now been confirmed by both this thread and the person who took the photo that the topless group shot did actually happen.

I pray that it never sees the light of day.

But to all the CCP who came and chatted with us, to all the guys first time and regular London meet vets who I spent time chatting with, thank you all for an epic day.

Edit: PS, they found the ladle, beans are back on the menu!

I managed to forget the alpenhorn before I saw the pic. Unfortunately I remember the sight of a topless Unifex failing to put his shirt back on, after the group shot.
Good to be able to chat with everyone. Hopefully it won't be another 4 years until I can next make it.

Funnily enough my girlfriend can't wait for the next eve meetup as well, looks like everyone made her feel welcome! Now if only we can get her to start playing as well lol

As always it was a pleasure hosting the meet and seeing so many old and new faces.

You guys are all awesome, and without you these meets would be impossible to run. All I can say is thanks to everyone for the support and the attendance.

Also, massive thanks to the guys at CCP for the support, the audio gear and for choosing to announce the Retribution features list directly to the players before anyone else. Massive kudos for that.

Some people have asked what will happen with these meets in future. I've got a simple answer :

So long as the community keeps supporting them, London will remain a regular venue for Eve Online meets, and we'll be sure to keep hosting for people to enjoy.

Watch this forum for more awesome stuff.

You guys are epic, and it was a pleasure spending an evening drinking with you all <3

Thanks to everyone that turned up for the meet.

Was almost certainly the biggest turn out we have ever had for a London meet Big smile

Thanks to all the CCP members that turned up, it always fun to have you guys arround.

Special Thanks to Verone for all the work he has done helping me Host these events over the last few years.

More special thanks to Unifex and Soundwave for the exclusive Retribution Announcement (even if it was just for an hour)

For those that don't know Soundwave flew in on Saturday Morning, did Eurogammer and the Meet and then flew out again on Sunday Morning. Thats some dedication.

Those of you that were wondering about what will happen as Verone moves on from Hosting these events, simply put Ill continue to host player meets in London.

Ive mainly been involved behind the scenes before now, liasing with the venue and making sure everything is running smooth on the day.

For the next meet Ill be doing it all, which should be a fun challenge.

These meet ups only happen because of the support of the players that turn up to them. So I hope to see many familar faces next time and even more new faces too.
