Caldari is very good, that is a warship.

Gallente is interesting, like a maxi trimaran in space. Very froggy!

Amarr and Minmatar are unacceptable and should be reworked from the ground up. Sorry, but they are just blocks with some stuff at the front.

The amarrian one doesn't quite..... look amarrian to me. Maybe it's the fact that the hull isn't smooth and well rounded; it's instead got ridges and straight lines every so often. Then again, it is concept art, so that might change. Still looking forward to it though.

Caldari destroyer - painfully obvious asymmetric design. 3 flippers on 1 side, 2 on the other?

On the other hand, the Charon does it well. If you want asymmetric design done well, look there. or the Naga or the Manticore.

When ships are painfully obvious about their asymmetric design traits, it sticks out like a wounded bleeding thumb. Much like the Raven whose hull -seemingly- hasn't really been updated in the last 8 or so years.

Looks like the salvage drone is ready to work, cutting torch and all! I hope they actually work well.

The new drone AI is going to make it difficult to use them efficiently, like salvaging with drones while running the mission,.

Art looks good though ... too bad we can never see it unless zoomed in and looking at nothing else.

The new Minmatar destroyer still looks ugly as sh1t.
The new Amarr destroyer looks almost exactly like the existing one.
The new Caldari destroyer looks like some sort of a Kanoo.
The new Gallente destroyer looks like a race pod from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

and the winner for the best looking design is... Gallente! \Big smile/

I don't think i've heared CCP say anything about a new tempest model though.

I like all but the caldari one. Caldari one is a nice design but just doesn't fit the race.

I'll fly the minmatar one since I'm trained for it and I like it's design. If I was to say how to improve it I'd like to see the box on the top of it redesigned so its not so 'boxy'.

Combination of the direction it is flying and the turret spots look like the escape pods, the neck also has a little feel of the Frigates MAC Gun. Funny people can it a MAC Cannon or MAC Gun when the C stands for Cannon.

I always thought the Typhoon was slightly Pillar of Autumish. It has a similar bulky shape to it.

The minmatar dessie is just an example of the hardships minmatar have to go through... After they had searched through the junkyars for enough salvage to make the Tornado, they yet again had to start building another ship type.

With so much good scrap being used to make the tornado and all the rest of the shiny bits they could find, used to redesign the stabber... they had to take whatever leftovers they could find to make this new dessie... The result is obvious, but it will propably be a good ship regardless Smile

I somehow missed info about this: are these new destroyers going to replace the previous models, or are these a new tier like the Tier 3 BCs?

I need to see this thing in space with mods fitted. Consensus above not too positive. No doubt at all that it could be improved, hence the WIP I suppose!

i dont like the biodome thingies on the gallente one, but the visible drone bay is awesome

This is a second line of destroyer alongside current models. There was a blog with role and suggested stats but I can't link from here, apologies.

I love 'em all, especially the salvage drone. However, the minmatar destroyer needs a TON of work.
