You must of done something wrong because I was never given this link even after many mail to a member of goonwaffe recruitement. I don't even know what to tell you now because even the recruiter had rules to follow to not tell me more.

I know it is, but I'm confident he can no more prove what he is claiming than unfortunately I can prove what I'm claiming.

Of course this doesn't negate the original topic that Goons scam new players, and to those who do find themselves being scammed by a Goon in the way thats been mentioned in this topic, I encourage you to please make a copy of the transcript and petition it to CCP, maybe if enough new players file petitions they will do something about it, I'm not gonna hold my breath though.

I know that certain practices in EVE are frowned upon by some players, but scamming is a perfectly acceptable past time in EVE. It is also a perfectly acceptable thing to do to make other people aware of potential scams, this is one of the great things about EVE and her community.

What isn't acceptable behaviour is resorting to hurling personal insults around. Doing so does nothing to further a discussion, is quite likely to lead to anything you say being dismissed by those you are trying to help, and is also a breach of numerous forum rules. So lets keep it as civil as possible and we can all enjoy the drama of scams, counter scams and good samaritan acts that make EVE a vibrant place to live Big smile

I don't know. When I tried this game, I had raed about the supposed fact there were less idiots playing it because your action could have consequence. I'm starting to belive the only reason why there are less idiots in this game is because there are less subscriber but the ratio is the same. Many people don't want to read pages after apges of stuff to find the clues but that does nto mean it should not be that way. People being lazy does not mean everything should be made fast and simple...

OP, the thing you're forgetting, is 1. It takes at least two for a successful scam, the scammer and the scamee, sadly you found yourself as the latter, secondly, this is EVE, if it sounds even slightly too good to be true, its higly likely to be a scam. Thirdly, you didn't do your research into the corp you were wanting to join, which is bad in all sorts of ways, least of which, it could have prevented you losing isk.

Final tip for your continuating to play EVE: Don't fully trust anyone, especially when they're being nice to you.

Never does a person smile so sweetly, as they do when they're about to stab you in the back.
