Howdy,

Just paid for a 3 month sub today after 14 day trial on Steam. I did NOT pay for Eve through Steam. I noticed that in my steam account when I go to play the game it still says Eve Online Demo. I was wondering did I access all the content or do I have to buy Inferno separately?

Is there a way I can get steam to say eve online rather then demo?

Thanks for putting up with my Idiotic questions.

If you have paid your sub, you are now a fully paid up member of the EVE community. All expansions are free and you could not physically play EVE unless your client was up to date Big smile Hopefully that puts your mind at rest.

EDIT: Because apparently I cannot spell today. Also it may just take Steam a while to update properly and show it as something other than an EVE demo, having never used EVE through Steam I cannot be certain however.

All that matters is that you do in fact have a full and proper EVE account, not a trial one. Relax and enjoy. Big smileTwisted

Confirming steam still thinks I'm on the demo after two years 3 months.

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.

Steam has Eve? I wonder how much of the community uses steam for eve.

Why would anyone get EVE through Steam when you can download and install the EVE client direct from CCP's website?

Perhaps some people like the convenience of the Steam chat overlay. Or the ability to track just how much time they've wasted in EVE instead of working for positive change in the world.

My friend bought eve for me for Christmas when it was 5 dollars on steam. I tried it and liked it. This was 2 years ago.
Also some people like the convenience of steam.

I have since started using the eve client though.

All EVE expansions are both free and mandatory. They're rolled into the client download, even if you're only on the free trial.

The EVE client is technically licensed freeware. You just need to pay to access the servers.

I got Eve over Steam when there was an offer of getting your first month for 5€ or something like that. Today, i don't have my EVE linked to Steam anymore, but i guess that Steam brought lots and lots of players (like myself) into EVE. That's a good thing, in case that someone needed to be told. Steam is one hell of a gateway into all kind of addictions Big smile

You're in the wrong section of the forum if you expect anything epic to read.
