Stealth bombers still viable?

So I am training a stealth bomber and b4 I spend the SP....is it going to be worth it? Are the new nerfs effecting torpedos? Is it worth the time now?

No. However, the nerfs come in a package with this buff towards torpedoes:

If you want to have fun, join the "Bombers Bar" ingame channel (minus the quotation marks) . We take newbies of all sorts, just be able to fit a Covert Ops Cloaking Device!

i would say bombers are very useful but not exactly the type of ship i would go for right away.

Bombers rock. If their Torps were nerfed, they'd still rock.

What about the T2 Rage ammo buff ? Will people switch from arbalest to T2 ?

I already use T2, because the damage is that much better. But yes, Rage + TCs/TEs should be wonderful.

Problem is, with a bomb launcher, prop mod, MSE and point- fitting T2 launchers is pretty hard even with max skills.

If you're primarily bombing, use Arbys with 1 load of torps.

If you're primarily torping, use t2 launchers, no/offline bomb launcher.

I can fly every frigate ever made.

I am well aware that the Manticore is better for the slot layout, but I fly a Nemesis because I like how it looks.



I may have to check out this bombers Bar thing. I love flying my frigates and a group for bombers sounds awesome.

Putting an MSE or any sort of tank really on a bomber is like putting a thin layer of bubble wrap on an egg. If someone is going to drop the hammer on you, it won't make much of a difference. You're best chance is to keep yourself agile and aligned when possible. MSE just boosts your sig radius. You're attempting to tank an untankable ship and cripplig your offensive capabilities. Youre putting metal railing bars on a grand prix racing car.
