Checking today STEAM found out this game for just 9.99$ ....

Anyone played? The retro look and repetitive music enthralled me a bit, but wondering if it is any good?

My brother found the time to play it, he recommended it to me strongly (we have vaguely similar tastes in games), but I was just too busy to try it myself.
It's not exactly something you keep playing for too long though (as in, several days or a couple of weeks at most, not months), but ten bucks sounds like a reasonably fair deal.

The office has been playing nothing else for days, and are most of EVE if the tweets are anything to go by.
Apparently it is pretty fun.

It is obsessively fun when you first get in to it, or so I found.

It's all about clever choices and some rather intense micromanagement and can also be quite difficult - stupid choices and an inability to defeat CC-orientated bug borders means I've never gotten to Sector 8 or beyond.

FTL might as well be called time machine, it seems I have skipped a few days ahead into the future.

Also shameless plug for Kerbal Space Program.
