Just taking a moment here to give thanks for the awesome job the ISD is doing moderating the forums. I'm lately noticing way more threads being appropriately moved to subforums, quicker response times to troll/bad threads, and way more positive attitudes -- plus some ISDs actually participating in discussion, which certainly helps reduce the feeling of ISD just being scary forum cops.

Special thanks to ISD Suvetar, who (at least from what I've seen) is super awesome and embodies all the above.

Rock on!

(Yeah, I know, IB4 "CCP alt", etc. Don't even bother; I'm a James315 alt)

The community is always quick to rile up whenever ISD screws up, but very tacit about when ISD is doing a great job. That's not very fair, is it?

Discussion of moderation is against the rules. If ISD were actually interested in being consistent they'd lock this thread.

Who would lock their alt's thread?

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

You mean being right? Or are we suddenly allowed to discuss moderation only as long as you personally like what's being said?

AFAIK only discussion of specific instances of moderation is banned, at least in practice. As in, a thread of "why are so many threads being locked?!" is alright, but one of "why was my thread locked?" is not.

Keeping a complaints-about-customer-service conversation private (and encouraging it be so) is something all companies do, yo.

& the thread is created by an ISD alt. Obviously. No real person would like what's happened to the forums & no sane person would be congratulating the ISD, although funnily enough, fascism had/has it's fans. Just like some freaks who aren't cops, like cops.

When there are problems endemic to the entire customer service experience, discussion is the only way any progress can be made.

Which is why general discussion about how Eve customer service is managed is acceptable. In fact, I remember several threadnaughts on that topic that seemed to go on forever, and resulted in improvements in the community.

Suddenly discussing moderation is acceptable when it's brown nosing.

If that's the case, the rule needs to be reworded.

Hi everyone,

Just want to jump in right quick here:

ISD staff are not permitted to Alt Post about ISD; that is grounds for removal from the program.
This post is not about discussing a specific moderation action but praising the ISD team as a whole.

If you have any serious proof that this is indeed any other way then I ask you to contact the internal affairs department as soon as possible. Their email address is internalaffairs@ccpgames.com.

But please stop slapping each other about over it.

Lastly regarding the rules; as CCP Gargant and CCP Navigator made very clear; there is a specific route for discussing it, and that us by using the Other -> Community petition category.
