Restore Overview and Quickbar settings

I recently had to re-install the EVE client due to have to get a new hard disk after the old one stopped working.

As a result of the re-install i have of course now lost all my overview settings and quickbar entries,

I have all my personal files on a backup drive and reading around apparently all that you need to is to copy the contents of C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\ into the current one.

I have tried to do this but this has not restored the overview settings and quickbar entries.

Should this work or is there something else that I should be doing?

dont you then have to import the overview settings from the overview settings menu?

there is a file somewhere...looks like

core_char_*insert random numbers here*

It keeps window locations/sizing, pretty much everything GUI related, if you can find that, (before you reinstall) make a backup copy of it, then paste it back into the same folder after the new install, and you will keep all your settings
