Is this... really... new news???

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Smart playing more like, although I too agree that it is kind of silly that a capital ship weighing a ton could be bumped that far by the shields. Your solution for the next similar effort would be to simply bring a fast interceptor, extremely easy to fit them in such way that they cover the 100km distance before the capitals are aligned and able to warp out.

In all likelyhood they aren't going to be doing any aligning. They'll just jump to the escape cyno and leave the system before you can do anything.

than why slingshot yourself out of the pos as you just can cyno out wen sitting in the pos shield?

because you can not jump out of a small POS which is **** caged? maybe?

does it mean attackers put entire POS shield into bubbles? How is it possible?
Or cyno jumps aren't possible when you have bubble on the way? O_o

With a small pos and large bubbles its possible, 3 bubbles i think, maybe 2 or 4 and you can cover the whole inside of the shields.

It does make you wonder how I can't jump, I can't fly but I can slingshot out of the cage. imo, that's less about an exploit and more about an (unintended) broken mechanic.

Having said that, also makes you wonder how a bubble can extend inside a force field to require the technique in the first place. I can't target, I can't scram or shoot but I can inject into the field.

But if it works and neither are deemed exploits. meh.

I already replied to ISD Suvetar's post as to why this is a generally undesirable way of going about such things. It would be easier on both the players and the GMs if they could answer here. Since we're not allowed to post our GM correspondence here, we can't, at least not within the rules, communicate to others that GM so and so said that doing x, y, or z was an exploit. This leads to many multiples of people sending petitions asking the same damn thing.

I am looking into this and the policy surrounding posting GM responses. I will update you on the outcome.

For now, do not post anything regarding your correspondence with the GM's.

I have looked into this and it has been confirmed that you are allowed to share your responses to a petition. DO NOT post/quote the official correspondence or mention who has dealt with you. Instead simply state that a GM has confirmed/denied that subject X is/is not an exploit. etc

I strongly advise using this information ONLY to help answer questions or problems that other pilot's have. Do not start a thread discussing the responses as that will surely land you in hot water.

I hope this is clear enough for you.

Good luck trying to point that carrier in triage... wait what?

Hi,

bumped themselves from Force Field by changing passwords in POS management and get out of range of our bubbles...

Small MINMATAR control tower in H7O-JZ 4-16 at around 9:20-9:40 et.

For me it is this was obvious exploit cuz they were bumped +100km and it was impossible to point them.

What you guys thing it is exploit or not ?

* Vote Yes or No

** And what you thing about change this bump range to 5km from Force Field ?

No.

And bring a couple of ceptors next time, then you won't look like scrubs for letting 2 carriers get away from you.

EDIT: Or, you know, a gang boosted Lachesis, which can point out to ~100Km without so much as turning on its engine.

CCP Should change bamp range to 5 - 10 Km because bumping caps at 100KM range is absurd.

What is absurd is guys moaning for cap kills and incapable to bring fast tackle/dictors. You learned a lesson, man up and next time do things right.

Just thought I'd mention there's a few reasonably effective ways of preventing people from starbursting away from POS shields. Hopefully we'll get a chance to demonstrate this in a video when someone pulls a "starburst" on us.
