1 plex for 1 character redo? I'm sorry but that's reeking of 1000 dollar jeans. It's not that I need the redo or am a cheapskate but that's just completely out of whack. It would be better if it could be bought with AUR but I realise that this would be difficult to implement, instead how about "1 plex and you'll have 1 customisation on all current characters on your account"?

I agree, having to pay more than a monthly sub to resculpt a single character does seem really overpriced, but having just read an article about the debut of the NEX and the $70 monocle's reception, I'm not really surprised.

I think it is good.
Its not a necessity.
Its something that a lot of players do not agree with, therefore the ones who want it will have to pay heavily for it.
I would prefer to just see more NEX items instead...but any income for CCP is good for us.

Urm, Is it just me or is the whole PLEX does everything thing getting a little silly? It is supposed to be a Pilots License Extension right? You have to question a world where there is a connection between a license to fly a spaceship and fashion, and resculpting, and whatever comes next

Why not just provide these services for ISK instead of forcing the workaround?

It's still funny how you guys fail to see how aur in EVE is utter fail, I get nickel and dimed in RL, you think I want to have o go through. That with internet space pixels, you have another thing coming. Keep on this track see how many subs stay.

I like this solution. If you are for some reason not satisfied with your choices in the initial character creation process you can correct that now. At the same time, the costs will give all those bored failures an incentive not to randomly change their avatar every day.

The reason is that providing those services for ISK means that the service can be earned completely ingame, meaning o revenue for CCP. Providing the service for PLEX means that someone has to have bought that PLEX, which is income for CCP.

I'm not sure what your argument here is. The quotation marks and the 'apparently' generally indicate sarcasm or an ironic tone of voice, but I'm afraid I don't understand how you can say that sarcastically.

If CCP doesn't make enough revenue to support the costs of upkeeping EVE (and making and marketing DUST, now) then they'll be losing money, and you won't get to keep playing EVE when CCP goes out of business.

it is right in line with standard pricing across all MMOs for this kinda thing

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

how are you getting nickle and dimed by something you don't have to use at all, and has zero real effect on gameplay?

And that would be a damn shame.

No argument, I like EVE, but if CCP were to go under and I could no longer play this game its not gonna ruin my day.

Basicly I'm a new player who just reached that "I'm paying $15 a month for what exactly" point in my EVE career.

Of course coming from an outside community into this game with a pre-existing alliance of over 9000 members already in place for you to rely on, I wouldn't expect you to know what thats like.

I think a neural remap for plex would be a more reasonable service.

I'd rather see both.

SP for plex once every 3 months. (Remap, move the SP from one skill to another skill instead; not buy new ones. Hence the quote.)
Neural once every month.


Even better would be just SP for plex, and Neural with an isk cost every two weeks.
100m ISK every 2 weeks for a neural remap sounds fair to me.
