Sendaya System, DERELIK

A Tech4 operative was recently supplied with a curious communication.

An anonymous source claims that a series of intercepted messages, whilst apparently innocuous, may be a code. The fluid-router communication was intercepted by CONCORD decryption specialists based at the CONCORD Bureau at Sendaya V in the Anares constellation of the Ammatar-claimed Derelik region. They were reportedly monitoring traffic originating from the neighbouring system of Doril, a system on the edge of Angel Cartel territory in the Curse region.

The anonymous source was unforthcoming with details of how he came by high-security CONCORD information, but was able to say that whilst the messages are believed to hold important information, CONCORD decryption algorithms have yet to deliver any results.

The full message sequence is as follows:

What say you? Shall we hit the pleasure hubs after dropping on the savages?

Sounds like a plan. Nothing gets me thirstier than a raid. Got rid of your crotchrot yet or you still out of commission?

Shove it up your ass! That was just a rumor… Those dancers will be all over me. I’ll throw you some castoffs, though, so you’re not in the corner all night crying into your drink like last time.

Keep dreaming. You know Kera’s all mine. Anyway, just make sure you don’t wind up in the medcenter again with a bullet in your buttcheek. Meet you at the usual place after the op.

Sweet. Numbskull gardeners won’t know what hit ‘em.

First appearances suggest that this is nothing more than two individuals – suspected of Angel Cartel affiliations – making plans to blow off some steam after a planned raid. However, CONCORD intelligence suggests there is possibly a deeper meaning to the language used and that something greater may be afoot.

“Savages” may be an unkind reference to Minmatar interests, however if other key phrases such as “crotchrot”, “dancers” and “Numbskull gardeners” have ulterior meanings, they are currently unknown. CONCORD operatives are continuing their investigations, but at time of writing, the two pilots, Erdrin Sostold and Haltz Krisbrid are unregistered on GALNET and may be aliases. Who or what “Kera” is, is also a mystery.

Please help us. Our Genesis Vault on Oddelulf III has been attacked by the Angel Cartel. They have hijacked our staging facility and trapped those still on the planet. They came without warning, they showed no mercy. I managed to get out in time. Please come quickly... The leaders seem to be those in your communication above. HELP.

Looks like it's time to get to work again. It's not Sansha, but that doesn't matter today.

Intel shows 14 frigs, and a pod piloted cynabal

A war that would’ve involved 20,000 players, 75% of nullsec space, and hundreds of supercapitals was halted not by diplomacy, but by a game mechanic so dreadful that those who have experienced it previously have no desire to do so again. - Fix POS & SOV

We managed to get rid of most of the Angel ships, but the still managed to blow the staging point. I have a feeling that this is only the start though...

Recorded transmissions in local coms during the attack:

Haltz Krisbrid > Charger One, how are preparations going?
Erdrin Sostold > Squad Alpha is ready to roll. Bravo through Foxtrot still setting up
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger that

Saede Riordan > Mr. Joneki, I'm not here to attack you.
Saede Riordan > However, the people that are will likely be arriving soon, you'll want to work quickly.
Bailey Joneki > Very well, keep your distance please.
Saede Riordan > Confirmed.

Haltz Krisbrid > Charger One, status? We got company incoming, apparently
Erdrin Sostold > Alpha, Bravo, Charlie are ready
Erdrin Sostold > Delta and Echo are awaiting status reports, Foxtrot is not ready yet
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger that, proceed with all due haste
Erdrin Sostold > Roger, sir
Erdrin Sostold > Squad Delta is confirmed and ready
Erdrin Sostold > Awaiting word on the remaining ones

Tactamar > ...
Tactamar > what pray tell is going on ?

Saede Riordan > Nothing. Return to your business capsuleer.
Haltz Krisbrid > Just good honest people doing our good honest jobs, and never you mind

Haltz Krisbrid > Charger One, any word on Squad Echo?
Erdrin Sostold > Echo's suffering some kind of malfunction
Erdrin Sostold > But if they don't sort it out soon, I will personally shunt them out the airlock myself

Erdrin Sostold > Sir, permission to threaten imminent close-contact live fire exercise to Squad Echo if they don't pull together right now
Haltz Krisbrid > Granted

Erdrin Sostold > Miraculously, Squad Echo is now ready
Erdrin Sostold > Apparently only a few rounds fired at someone's head did the trick
Haltz Krisbrid > Splendid, Charger One. Prep all squads for deployment
Erdrin Sostold > Squads Alpha through Foxtrot ready, sir
Haltz Krisbrid > Deploy

Erdrin Sostold > Heading planetside, sir

Haltz Krisbrid > Readouts are showing Charger squadrons have made landfall
Haltz Krisbrid > Planetside support wings in place
Haltz Krisbrid > Charger One, report

Erdrin Sostold > Landed, sir!
Erdrin Sostold > We're getting ready to move in
Erdrin Sostold > Squads Alpha to Foxtrot ready
Erdrin Sostold > I'm heading up Alpha
Erdrin Sostold > and taking care of direct orbital comms

Erdrin Sostold > Charges are set
Erdrin Sostold > comms blockers prepped
Erdrin Sostold > and all squads are locked and loaded
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger that, Charger One. You are cleared to proceed

Erdrin Sostold > I hate having this little intel on a mission
Erdrin Sostold > Not saying I need everything laid out like a blueprint
Erdrin Sostold > but I like knowing what to expect when I go in
Haltz Krisbrid > Yeah, I hear ya
Erdrin Sostold > I'm certain the other squads feel the same
Erdrin Sostold > Did a cleanout once of an installation that was supposed to have nothing but derelict tech
Erdrin Sostold > Ended up being a rogue drone hive
Erdrin Sostold > Still get nightmares
Haltz Krisbrid > Nasty business, for sure

Erdrin Sostold > Charges ready to go in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ...
Erdrin Sostold > GO GO GO GO GO!

Haltz Krisbrid > Charger one, report
Erdrin Sostold > Moving in
Erdrin Sostold > No major resistance so far, just a few scientists who looked really surprised when I shot them
Haltz Krisbrid > Good man

Erdrin Sostold > Squads Bravo through Foxtrot are fanning out to other vaults
Erdrin Sostold > I'm leading Alpha to the one right in front of us

Erdrin Sostold > Seeing some advanced tech
Erdrin Sostold > but it's mostly equipment integrated into the installation
Erdrin Sostold > all kinds of meters and valves on the walls

Haltz Krisbrid > Charger One, we have some hostiles converging on your position. Do you have a visual?

Erdrin Sostold > A bit more resistance, nothing we can't handle. Local security only
Erdrin Sostold > The comms blockers are clearly working
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger that. Continue as planned

Erdrin Sostold > We're in a hydroponics section. Other squads are reporting the same
Erdrin Sostold > I'm having my men be careful. We're trying to harvest equipment and do it fast
Erdrin Sostold > but all this moisture and water isn't going to do good things for our loot if we don't watch out
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger, Charger One. Time is the priority here. Grab what you can and move on

Erdrin Sostold > Hydroponics has been cleaned of tech
Erdrin Sostold > Waiting for confirmation on other squads

Haltz Krisbrid > Charger One, planetside wings are under heavy attack, repeat, planetside wings under heavy attack
Haltz Krisbrid > The operation has been compromised. Pull your men out as soon as possible
Erdrin Sostold > Roger, sir

Erdrin Sostold > All squads have reported in
Erdrin Sostold > No major finds
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger that
Erdrin Sostold > We're scrounging some good basic tech
Erdrin Sostold > and I'm sure there'll be lots of salad to be had back home
Erdrin Sostold > but whatever else this was, we're coming up empty

Erdrin Sostold > Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot heading out

Erdrin Sostold > All teams have made it to the staging point. Getting ready to head out
Haltz Krisbrid > Roger that, Charger One. Have charges been planted?
Erdrin Sostold > Yes, sir. Getting ready to destroy the point
Haltz Krisbrid > Alright. Let's blow this thing and get out of this Minmatar hellhole
Haltz Krisbrid > Go

delai crashed the party with their usual fleet comp which ended in us being permajammed but no matter... fun was had.

I believe the public report you are looking for resides here . Although going to such effort for some horrid Matari ecology seems a bit much to me. Unfortunate the Imperial Navy didn't do a better cleansing job the first time around...

Thats nice, this happens in what is essentially my current back yard while I'm away on business on the other side of the cluster. I moved to Matari space to get away from this kind of crap.

Hey, Cartel, get the frakk out of my home. Thanks ahed of time.

A Cartel attack on a major Minmatar Corporation? We haven't seen anything like this since the Skarkon incident... It looks pretty clear from those intercepts that the Angel's were not merely after hydroponics equipment. Native Freshfood are not known for their radical R&D projects, so unless the Cartel are suddenly desperate to boost their hydroponics yields then NF may have some explaining to do.

But not half as much as the Cartel themselves. What will the Shakor government have to say I wonder?

Gotta hand it to Angels they almost compare with Mordus when the balls hit the scale.

This looks like a matter between corporations as far as I am concerned, and unlike the situation with Sansha forces. Nobody is being kidnapped and enslaved.

Admittedly, someone who wants something is trying to take it from someone else who has it. But that's nothing new in the world.

Call me when lives, liberty, and property of people who cannot fight back are threatened.
