I really like the new look of minmatar ships. I think it ridiculous that any space ship would be 'rusty'.

The current Tempest is beautiful **** you.

I fell in love with the concept of cheaply thrown together spaceships. The Tempest? That piece of **** looks like some Matar engineers in a hurry, had to cut off a piece of an equally ugly station and stick some guns on it because there was no time for design. And it's perfect. The Stabber seems like the entire core was centered off a structure pillar and I'm fine with that.

Why is everyone obsessed with making Minmatars look more futuristic akin to the Amarr or Gallente? The Minmatar is supposed to be the least advanced. The look rugged scrap look goes well with it.

The Maelstrom is the most ugliest ship I've ever seen for the Minmatar.Evil

In rust I trust.

You know, I think you might be right about the Maelstrom; got to be the dumbest looking ship in space. Looks like a squatting dog when it goes idle.

As for the Tempest, it is one of the ugliest in it's current incarnation. Think of the new model as some Matar Engineers with more time on their hands, doing it right. Much better that way. I mean, when they were slaves and rebelling against their Amarr overlords, you could understand the monstrosities they cobbled together to fight off their erstwhile masters. Now that they are fully in control of their own space and free to do what they want, you sort of expect them to get around to rebuilding a few things.

Down with your idea; new Tempests for everyone! Rah!

There is such thing as 'the Minmatar look', which should definitely be preserved, but then there are also ships that don't look like ships. The Stabber/Vaga hull definitely needed some makeover to look like one.

Hope the Moa/Eagle/Onyx hull follows next.

I still really really miss all the stuff the typhoon lost.

I mean, this was awesome:

Sure beats the gaping maw, fat worm look.

Not to say the Typhoon couldn't use a serious overhaul, but replacing some of those pieces in a new model might be kind of cool.

I quite like the look of the new Tempest, and given that the Matari have had a few decades of freedom (annoyingly), I think its about time that they evolved their designs from the shipping containers/external piping to one where the structual integrity is not based on a welders skill on that particular day...

The Scrapheap Challenge look is half the reason I have been flying Amarr ships since 2007... but now, I'm going back to Minnie.

I agree with everything above, except Rupture is the most ugliest Minmatar ship I've ever seen. Keep Minmatar ugly! Everybody knows Min technology is going backwards, not forwards.

Every Minmatar ship design as orginal design and art, is ulgy and unique, i like typhoon, rupture, and minmatar freighter, its look like flying trash container, stop fixing existed good ship models, they got own specyfic magic... Also dont make minatar more shiny, they must be non symetric and ugly. is like MacGyver stuf.

all minmatruds want constantly changing ships, especially the vaga, which we all want to look like the frilly dinosaur from Jurassic park, deep down.

Also nothing fixes rust like more rust.

Disagree. The minmatar cosmetic improvements are the only good thing CCP is doing right now.

I agree with everything except 'most ugliest.' I won't correct you except implicitly, but 'most ugliest' makes me cringe.

I'm glad CCP's redoing these Minmatar ships! Caldari(moa) ships need work too. Both races make the game look dated. Gallente and Amarr ships looks like their standing the test of time.

CCP wish list: show damage on ships and open that door!

Thread cleared of some random off topic stuff, try and keep on topic in peoples threads in future.

On topic, I love the redesigned Minmatar hulls. The Tempest no longer looks like a head on collision between two scrap metal delivery trucks and the little Vagabond got it's frilly bit back and then some. And after all these years, after all that the Minmatar people have been through and achieved, it should not be any surprise they are going back over their hulls and revamping them.

I hope that there description reflects there new hull designs. That minmatar fleets are refitting there ships to newer updated hull designs. Blink

I like all the new mimi hulls, tho i will reach out and offer soem sympathy to the old mimi hull lovers, there once was a ship called the Sacralidge, and it looked like a armored tick, and i loved it, then they got some Caldari mechanics to redesign it, now while it looks ok, its lost its badash factor
