Friends, Capsuleers, Gallenteans, lend me your ears

I have used my leave, the precious few days of it we are given at the academy, to travel here to this summit and ask you all if the rumours are true?

Are there truly volunteer capsuleer organisations fighting to preserve the freedoms and priveleges that the Federation stands for?
Are there truly capsuleers who havent abandoned our noble struggle and still work towards our manifest destiny?

Are there truly still squadrons loyal to the federation that are striking back at the caldari?

Friends, i thank you for your time and assistance in avoi

Why lend? I can sell you some gallentean ears. Or even present them to you as a gift.
I hope you have some formaldehyde to keep them without decaying. Or at least a fridge.
A word of warning: don't try to use them for transplantation, since my 'separation' methods were quite crude.

Trying to be all edgy and relevant again, Kim-houkka?

(My apologies if I butchered the Caldari language a bit there. I'm sure someone will correct me if the usage is incorrect.)

And which manifest destiny do you refer to? I admit to being no scholar on Federation history, but the last time such lofty words were used it didn't work out so well for the Federation, did it? I of course refer to the illustrious (and infamous) "Cultural Deliverance Society" from before our war for independence.

Caldari can never seem to stop referring to events from almost a thousand years ago. I don't know what any sort of relevance the Cultural Deliverance Society has on anything anymore, considering the Federation wasn't even around back then.

Anyway, the problem you will encounter is that there is no consensus on what the Federation is for, anyway. Sure, it's about manifest destiny in interstellar expansion and colonization, a regulation authority for independent exploration...to some. To others, it's about guaranteeing free trade and economic freedoms between its member planets. Or maybe it's simply an overwatch to ensure individualism can flourish (or rather hedonism). Is its goal to "peacefully" unite the cluster via democratic means? That's certainly what happened when it was first founded.

The Federal Charter might say one thing, but what its supporters will interpret is another. If you want support for your own take on what the Federation is for, you'll have to champion it yourself if there is nothing else in the capsuleer community.

You could always pull your head out and actually grow enough of a spine to realize your 'manifest destiny' instead of expecting someone else to hold your hand and stick a silver spoon in your mouth.

At least there's a degree of nobility in carrying your own burdens instead of wanting others to carry them for you.

Then again, with vainglorious and incompetent Federal primadonnas whose words overextend the reach of their abilities being the hallmark of Gallentean 'leadership' I certainly do not think you will even find any coat-tails to pin your own hopes of riding along on.

Feel free to cower in some ignominious corner of the Federation until the dust dries the blood upon the pages of history written by those men and women willing to dip in its ink, however.

Knowing your history is knowing yourself. You, gallenteans, who once were slavers, now completely forgotten yourself, you tear your past away with other peoples blood, you make yourself forget your wrongdoings by seeking and destroying everything that doesn't think like you would like. By trying to clean yourself from your past, you become even greater monsters than you were in your past. Even if you do not enslave peoples physically anymore, you enslave them mentally. You infect weak minds with your rotten hedonistic egoistic ideals, you enforce inefficient mob-driven leadership and treat peoples like equal, like same parts of grey touchy sandpile.
Caldari are and will be referring to the past, because we know, who we are, and who we were.
And do you know who you are?

Well, this is simple.
Federation is a dump bin for wastes of the Universe. Federation will accept any refusals from other Empires and hold them, for they won't be polluting healthy societies.
The only problem, is that Federation is a bit loud for a dumpbin, and we will show them their place, so it won't dictate voices from the bin. And if they will continue staying on our way, our steamroller will roll them into pressurized cans.

What i have seen of this galaxy is grim and cruel and dark. The Federation is the light, the one shining beacon of liberty and equality in New Eden.

The past is the past, its gone, behind us and as a result has little bearing on the moment. The past isnt even what we were. It is who our forefathers were, what they did and speaks nothing of our own values or flaws. We are not set to task by the events of history it is what burns within our own hearts and souls that define who we are and what we do.

I should know better than to listen to the lies of the caldari, but...

... if what i have heard is true, if what i have heard the veterans whispering of is true...

... then the federal government has lost its way and the ideals of the federation must be agressively reasserted and defended

Now now, I realise Captain Rella that you aren't fond of Captain Kim, but to call her a hooker is going a bit too far don't you think?

My Caldari language skills leave something to be desired so I asked around and my contacts told me that houkka was akin to the word idiot. I'd never insult sex workers by associating them with Diana Kim.

I guess I should have stuck with the electronic translation algorithms rather than relying on what may be regional slang.

I take is as no. Your levels of greed are unbearable!
You know what? I asked nicely. Really.
I won't do it anymore. I'll just take them myself.
And don't expect me to return them for you!

Coreth Aldent
By the way, would you accept some primitive tribal ears as well? Or you are interested only in gallentean ones?

I find Comrade Wing Commander Kim or Kim-haani is acceptable.

They do. Of course there's an irony here in trying to call another an idiot and only managing to embarrass oneself, Rella-jaijii.

While i do disagree with Kim-Haani points of view on several levels and consider the intrinsic brutality of those views as whims of youth or young body. i do still agree with her point that gallente do have something of a record on meddling with things they really shouldn't or letting more underhanded aspects of their society go unchecked while not quoting things from "thousand" years ago Malkalen incident will do instead which i imagine could've been initially averted by proper supervision.

while Mr. Aldents ferocious loyalty to gallente government and those who support its cause might be misplaced i suspect he might benefit from an old idea in their democracy that people should hold their government accountable on all actions they perform behalf of the people. thus i suggest him to re-examine actions of gallente government and their effects to people with in gallente federation and outside of it.

Please feel free to correct me on any points i might've forgotten or misunderstood.

If Mr. Aldent prefers this path of warfare for the manifest destiny of his. I am more than willing to attempt to put his ideology to the test.

I believe the word you are looking for is baka. 'Fool', or 'idiot', depending on context.

You definitely have a lot of naivete and blind optimism, I'll give you that.

Freedom and privileges? Maybe for its bureaucrats, corrupt officials and non-immigrants.

Maybe.
