Strange ship on D-scan

Today while doing a Radar site in Low-sec, I noticed "Daredevil" on the D-scan with following characters instead of the name of pilot ">>>" and an the top of it - I was alone in the system, is it possible that this was an abandoned ship available for pick-up, or is it something else?

Yes, it was likely parked at a pos, or someone who had been in local logged out within a minute or so before you saw it on D scan.

The name of the pilot is never shown on d-scan.

Learn D-scan. D-scan shows the name of the ship, and the type of ship. This is why PvPers always tell you to rename your ship to something other than the base [my name's] [shiptype]. And no, it probably wasn't an abandoned ship, it was probably floating around at a POS because someone left it there.
