I can't Re Install my game. (How long do Petitions typically take?)

Just curious what other peoples experience has been? I'd really like to be able to play again sometime soon. Ugh

Edit: A couple days ago my EvE stopped working. The repair tool didn't solve the problem so I uninstalled the game and tried ro re install. The issue I am having is that I can not re install the client onto my laptop. I keep getting Error 3.

I have tried the manual download as instructed by the installer, but I only receive the same results. I tried downloading Bittorrent but couldn't figure out how to make things work that way either. I'm at an obvious loss here and any help would be appreciated.

This GM thread may give you an idea of how long petitions usually take for a response and/or resolution depending upon the issue. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=117446

While it is a bit dated, it's my understanding that this serves as somewhat of a benchmark. If you have a gameplay related issue such as you're 'stuck' in game, be sure to properly select that type as those usually get the highest priority.

I kinda wish I was stuck in game. As is I can't seem to re install the game.

If you like, you could always change the topic title to reflect that, and detail the problem you're having - a lot of folks have been there/done that, and would be glad to help if possible. Might be quicker and just as effective as the GM response.

Well, you probably already saw this GM thread at the top, but in case you didn't:

Might have to file a bug report rather than a petition if that's what you did. Mentioned so that you could possibly expedite the process by gathering the requested info and file the bug report if not yet submitted.

I did search the issues forum, but it does seem dependent on the particulars.

I wish I could be more help, but this is an area I have no personal experience with. Good luck and feel free to post updates in the event it could help others as well.

Well the good news is my petition got a reply in only one day. The bad news is it would appear that the person on the other end did not even bother to READ my petition, and their reply seemed to be a generic response that was completely unhelpful.

I mean seriously. How can I use the repair tool if I have not even downloaded the files yet. Ugh. I have sent my reply. Patience will prevail. I march on.

So I was given a direct DL of the repair tool and was able to basically re install the client using it. I am back in game and happy. Lol
