So understandably most MMO's have a grind feel, EVE especially either be it with grinding missions for standings, isk, loot or just getting laid by saving the damsel for the 1,000th time. But with the ever increasing prices of the plex market has EVE turned in to a second job? For example current prices for sell orders are around 515 mil pushing 600 mil, have we crossed the red line to where the avg. NoOb player will have diffuculty making their plex payment every 30 days? Not to mention the casual players. If not the 600 mil mark then what's the red line for the plex market to where grinding isk for your plex is obtainable unless you quit Real life.

Meh, prices will rise as long as people will keep paying for them. that's how a free market works Big smile

Or, you know, you could just pay the subscription and actually play Eve.

1. Buy hundreds of Plex for $$, sell them on market for isk.
2. Massively Increased supply lowers Plex prices in game.
3. Buy Plex back.
4. ???
5. Profit!

just gank a freighter or 2 that just picked up supplies for some outlaw space alliance....youll be plexed up for a year or two..

Just poking fun a bit....but ya...the clue is to find ways to let others pay for your plex.....without to much effort

Edit: Do make sure you sold "them" the particular supplies to begin with...

Once you think you have it all, you have actually become ignorant towards everything else.

The problem is in assuming that the "average" eve player should be plexing at all. If it takes a player so long to grind money for a plex that he feels this game is becoming a second job then he should probably not be plexing at all. Whats the point of grinding so you can keep playing to grind isk for your next plex? And if paying $15 dollars per month to play this game is an unacceptable price to pay, there are probably other issues outside of this game that the player needs to address.

1. Be gainfully employed.
2. Get payment info (credit card, Pay Pal) on file with CCP.
3. Play the game without worry every month.
4. ???
5. Profit!

Plex prices rise after a militia cashes out. It then goes back to normal.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

it certainly has a lot of sub-professions these days, even some of us who spend more time writing than actually shootin' (blogs, news sites and so on).

And then running a site like Eve-kill, must be a like full time job, no doubt.

Not to me. I can "level" while on vacation and I only have to grind isk when I want something that costs more than I currently have.

If you have issues coming up with $10-$15 monthly subs, you might want to look for a first job instead.

After "Incursions milk cow" welcome to "Faction Warfare milk cow".

Step1- buy plex

Step2 -sell it on market (needs to hit the 1B mark!!)

Too many space rich dudes and isk is not a problem for them. Fair trade.

easy solution: change your job - ingame (*)

*) as some people can afford those prices there must be jobs that create those amounts.

Earning money for a plex isn't hard. Even if you get 50-60m/h on L4 missions, that is 10h you need to spend monthly just to pay for 30 sub.
On my alt acc, i trained 3 chars in some PI crap, while i am lazy to log in and just run extractors each day for 1-2 min, it nets solid 450-550m monthly. And that is in hisec on crappy planets with minimal work involved, to lazy to do any more that that.

If you cant make the time, and think plex grinding is a 2nd job, just quit.
Once the game stops being fun and turns to a job or "gotta get home quick, we have fleet ops today" its time to reevaluate things.

Won a G510 keyboard in AT-X on  21.07.2012. Still not delivered, CCP keeps quiet. Customer support needs a raise.

There are a few ways you could handle this:

1. You can always take up station trading, which has proven to be quite profitable for me.
2. If you do Lvl4 missions continuously, you should also be able to raise enough ISK.
3. Just pay the the $15. It's really not that much money.

Even though I have a trading alt, who makes enough money to buy PLEXes, I still choose to pay the $15, because that way I have more ISK to fund fun activities ingame. Maybe someday, when I have 20b+ ISK in my wallet and no way to spend it, I'll think about buying PLEX.

So no: Eve is not a second job. At least not if you don't let it become one.
