I think the subject line sums up my query fairly succinctly. In light of the possible changes to missiles I have had to question my current setup for angels solo plexing. Currently I use a tengu to solo 7/10 complexes and as part of a group for some of the harder signatures and higher official DED complexes. While I think a HAM setup with some TCs and range rigs might be a possibility for my tengu in the future (assuming I can get HAM range over 50km, or HM damage somewhere decent), I think it might be nice to have a contingency plan.

Note: I don't want this to be a thread about the missile changes. Everything is hypothetical now, and I don't want to bog myself down in potentialities...

So, what I am looking for is a ship that can solo 7/10 angel's complexes in null sec space. I have two other potential ships in mind, but wanted more opinions before I arrange for a jump freighter or go find a WH to hi-sec. If you can post fits along with your suggestion, I would be much obliged.

You could use a T1 battleship + priest? Or use a marauder (with some bling I'm sure you can solo tank it in f.e. a vargur)? The problem with the other T3's is lack of range so you would have to spend some time burning towards the rats and losing dps. Also, something like a gila or rattlesnake could be cool, those passive shieldtanks are really solid. And, you could use those in the escalations, a lot of them have neut towers and those kill your tengu's tank (I know

) while those passive tanks would hold.

Heavy missiles will still work for any complex if your tank can hold it. It will simply mean a few extra volleys. Make sure your skills are as good as can be. As for range the new base is meant to be 63km and most rats I encounter(guristas/serps) are at max 50km away so don't panic to much. Can always up your fit to better BCU's or get an alt for additional DPS.
