Dear Readers of the IGS,

on this day I will retreat to my family estates on Khanid Prime. Life in space has been rewarding at times, recently however it has—most of all—become dissatisfying. I am looking forward to indulge in all my private desires. Especially I’ll enjoy the accompanying silence of loud, idle and not needed voices.

So we can expect your next adult holovid, err.. I mean, work of art, soon then?

When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around.

K.

Bye.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

Ms. d'Hanguest,

Do ignore these terrorists, criminals, and uneducated buffoons. Many of us appreciate deeply your contributions to Kingdom, Empire, and civilization. Should you require anything for your estates, do let me know.

Yours in admiration,

Yes, I'm sure many of us did.

Oh sure you all get to ask for her stuff but when I ask for her stuff, it gets removed by the CRC. I see how it is, hate on the poor albino girl.

Some of us would actually be capable of putting those assets to good use. Sitting in a hangar gathering dust, or being sold on the market, as they likely would with you, are not "good uses".

If she were going to donate or make her assets available to others, I would expect that she would only be making them available to the people who can and would put those assets to use in ways she approves of. The "poor albino girl" fresh out of the meatgrinder that is capsuleer training, has an almost zero chance of meeting that requirement.

To Ms. d'Hanguest:

I admit I view your implied intent of retirement - implied only because you never state such outright - with a fair amount of skepticism. Most capsuleers who make simlar plans tend to find themselves being dragged back to space sooner or later - either by their own choice, or events beyond their control. It doesn't hurt to plan accordingly - your stationside assets will be maintained and kept in functioning order (barring, of course, things becoming obsolete due to the occasional round of hardware upgrades that seem to have become more frequent as of late), and all it would take to regain access is renewing your license. Avoiding the headache of having to restock one's hangar seems worth the license renewal fee to me, but to each their own. Just don't go giving things out without thinking it through; I've seen people do it before and regret it heavily when they changed their mind and returned to the stars.

Of course, it's possible - and not unlikely - that most people here, myself included, have misinterpreted the intent of your message, and you're actually only planning on taking a short vacation. If that's the case, I hope that it is enjoyable and you get what you need out of it - everyone needs a break once in a while, and you couldn't have picked many better places to take one on a whim.
