LOL... just lol

Copying inputs and multiplying them is the definition of automation. And since we're on the "I saw this" subjcet, I saw another personal email from CCP saying the exact opposite of what you claim. Or did I? We'll never know, will we?

See, I'm never wrong about these or any other things. There was this one time when I thought I was wrong, but as it turned out, I was mistaken.

Oh that is cute.
Do you really think I would open 15 additional accounts and begin a specific training plan, fly these alts in a totally obvious manner. including the use of 15 retrievers and tornadoes. and with far grander future plans as their skills develop without first checking the EULA and the relevant rules beforehand?

You need to go and have a good hard look at it, and the relevant information posted by CCPs GMs after synergy and isboxer came into existence. Have you even had a good look at its site, features and info yourself? I higly doubt it.

There are many people crying BOT on the matter. especially when I come into the system.. But its NOT botting no matter what anybody says, and im not going to bother repeating why... I need not say it again. those people wo keep crying bot need to man up and find a way around it. Youre fighting many accounts not one. Deal with it.

Your personal views on the matter, whether they be based of the desire for fairness or just out of plain jelousy simply dont matter regardless. The only thing that can possibly stop me is being told so by CCPs TOP GM. And if there are other pilots who are interested in this rather techical but rewarding way of playing EVE go ahead and contact me for any advice or tips.. I have plenty to offer.

Wow. One might say that getting 15 multies' layout to match perfectly would be botting 1 0 1 and that the turned off convos would in fact be like that so no one would know you're afk while the bot is playing.

Anyways, pretty sure that's a violation of the EULA regardless of intent:

"CCP prohibits the following practices that CCP has determined detract from the overall user experience of the users playing the Game. [...] You may not use your own or third-party software to modify any content appearing within the Game environment or change how the Game is played. [...] You may not use your own or any third-party software, macros or other stored rapid keystrokes or other patterns of play that facilitate acquisition of items, currency, objects, character attributes, rank or status at an accelerated rate when compared with ordinary Game play. You may not rewrite or modify the user interface or otherwise manipulate data in any way to acquire items, currency, objects, character attributes or beneficial actions not actually acquired or achieved in the Game."

You sir fail at knowing what a bot is.

A bot is an AUTOMATED program that works without any input from a player

ISBoxer does nothing if you don't give any input on the master client.

All it does is copy the master client to all slaves (as in a really really really quick switching of accounts and activating same module on all).

So please, before commenting do some research about stuff.

Oh my... you have no idea how much research I have actually done, sweety. And I have English grammar on my side too. And by the English wording of the EULA, in particular the section I copied this is indeed not allowed. We can quibble over what to call it, and you can call it Jeff for all I care, but it's still a violation of the EULA.

And that's not to enter into other technicalities such as how is it possible to multibox 15 toons on dreads when all these toons are all 6 weeks old and have never left high sec.

But enough of that. I'm currently awaiting a reply from CCP on this issue. Then I will gladly post my bulk research on the botting network being led by Drokoth, of which I have identified 25 toons and counting, as well as a link to the financing of a major null sec alliance in exchange for some toon laundering. But that's for later. For now I'm having fun with these unsolicited defence lawyers' posts.

Now thats even funnier... you spent all of that time doing research on me and came up with that? now thats hilarious... Youre only partly correct son.
First point,

dreads.. Yes the chars i have now are too young to use them... they are an escelation of previous chars i ran testing on prior to this new escelation of my project.

second point,
Yes the chars now being used have not left highsec. Im pretty sure dropping 15 paper tornadoes with crap skills would be a great idea no?

Third point,
Financing major alliances for toon laundering? you sir are a tool and need to learn to research better. The last alliance i financed (or supported) was side effect. which i founded, and soon failscaded, the previous alliance before that was imperial legion, which i co founded and have been in twice before leaving it due to differences with its leadership. I have personally bought and sold chars in that time including a number of trade alts, several of my alt mains which i sold off and a nyx pilot (and its nyx which i sold on forum prior) which i bought and sold since i didnt use it when i was in imp-l

Just because i can run this number of accounts in this way dosnt mean you can go jumping to silly conclusions like that.
The systems I use are perfectly legal. and that has been confirmed many times.
So i say again.
Deal with it.

Lol, that guy is really butt hurt that he can't fund 15 accounts like you L.D.

I know Drok from old Side Effect and Imperial Legi0n days. And all he does is 100% legit.
And if you can't fight that, don't start whining here or try to get him banned, you will fail in that as it won't work.

You are just amusing me with how stupid people can be..

I believe there's a distinction between duplication and multiplication, in this instance, apparently by 15. I'd also argue that a program that sends commands to 15 different accounts is the same as botting. It shouldn't matter if you're at the PC or not because that program is doing something you couldn't otherwise do. Not unless you had 15 hands which would be just weird without as many arms to link them to your body.

But... this seems to be allowed anyway so that will be all... for now. My suggestion would be to contact the CSM and see how they feel about it and if there's any chance of pressing for a change on this particular issue. Afterall this blurs the line a great deal, between what's allowed gameplay and botting and runs contrary to CCP's publicly proclaimed views on botting.

Finally, I may be able to help Amarrius on this particular instance if he contacts me and pays adequately. Adequately being more then whatever offer Drok may or may not make me to persuade me to stay silent. *wink, wink*

And if Amarrius pays you... best of luck to you. And also to Amarrius, as I know in which amounts I should start thinking about when we talk about Drok's wallets. Not to mention the friends he has around in EVE that won't mind helping him a hand.

Will see your loss mails soon on the kill boards.

Again, botting is AUTOMATED gameplay. Aka you are at work yet a program mines for you to make ISK. That's botting.

As ISBoxer means manual input by a player it can't be classed as botting.

Damn, looks like all the retards have started playing EVE now a days. I think I go to CSM to make a mandatory IQ test on the subscribing of an account.

though, Vlad. credit for the trading win over Drok.

Ok first off. Why do you talk in the 3rd person? You're all alts of the same guy lol.

I have no intention of paying anything to anyone for what is part of CCP's job description, nor do I need to. Im waiting to see who'll come out of the woodwork and stick their necks out to help a botter. But I really hope a lot of people do. That makes my research on this botting ring so much easier. Granted I would expect someone who can multibox 15 dreads to be able to take me who plays with a single account. I mean... that was the purpose of the progam, to multilpy yourself, right? Alts aren't real people, dude!!! But in all fairness and in case you haven't noticed, I've stopped talking about that stupid program long ago.

So please keep posting and feeding me more intel. I didn't know about this null sec alliance until today. Thanks for taking the bait. And the insults about retards, love all that. It shows me I'm hitting a nerve. So I won't even report it because the entertainment value it's providing me and my associates in this endeavour (You didn't serioualy expect I was doing this solo, like you are, right?) is trully priceless.

And stay tunned for more. The next time you'll be botting anywhere in new even, I may even be recording it, maybe even broadcasting over a live feed. Maybe I already am with some random alt sitting at the same station as you, in Jarshitsan. Who tha frack knows, right?

I have been quite happily pursuing the multi boxing lifestyle with differently skilled characters running different ships. Unlike Zhek Kromtor, I am not using fleets of caracals and drakes. Up till now I have been using the tank + spank formula with CNR/Tengu accompanied by drone boats. That will change in an upcoming patch as CCP are busily adding sleeper AI to all non-CONCORD NPCs. This means drones will need to be monitored!

As a result I will probably end up having to fly a tracking-link scimitar to keep my missile boats running due to the Serpentis heavily abusing tracking disruptors (because CCP wants to make missiles exactly the same as turrets … but that is another story for another day, though I do urge all missile users to write to the CSM to express their rage over the homogenization of weapon systems).

As for Mr. Pontificus here, just remember that anecdote is not a synonym for datum. You are obviously upset about the perceived advantage that people using Synergy or isboxer have over you. Don't let your frustration cloud your judgement, and similarly do not seek evidence to support your opinion. Rather, form your opinion around the available evidence. Otherwise all you are doing is engaging in a witch hunt where you don't even have the power or authority to burn suspects at the stake.

If you want to help fight the war against bots, use the Report Bot feature. But don't abuse it to “punish” people you don't like or you might find yourself receiving some personal attention from CCP Sreegs and his minions.

Dear oh dear, I went off on a rant again. Back to topic:

  • have all your alts join a private chat channel (this might be your own, or part of a group of friends) to make it easier to locate them. There is nothing quite as frustrating as inviting alts to fleet when you are all parked in a station with 200 other pilots. This will get worse with DUST coming since apparently the Dust Bunnies show up in local/station too.
  • add your alts to contacts and watch list. As you log them in you can right-click the notification portrait to invite them one by one
  • Start a fleet, then use fleet finder to advertise the fleet to pilots of excellent standings, then you can join the fleet from the alts all at once by opening up fleet finder, checking the adverts, and joining your fleet. This can get messed up by other pilots adding one or two alts with standings and advertising their own fleets.
  • For salvaging, simply bookmark the most central wreck in each room, then hand over the collection of bookmarks once the mission/site is completed.
  • Start with as many characters as you expect to keep using. The things that you can do with (or shortcuts you can take with) three active characters are different to the things you need to do when you are controlling 20.
  • If you are going to multi box 20 characters flying caracals in missions, it is a good idea to specialise: have one or two train in Trade skills, have a few trained in leadership, have some trained in industry.

I don't like multi boxing, but that might be mainly due to my desire to spend money on real estate rather than a domestic supercomputing cluster ;)

Well, if it does get back to multi-boxing tips I know I will be interested.

I got my first second account last week. I spent the first week doing cybernetics 4 for implants, then straight into PI skills level 4.. That all finishes today and so I need to decide what to train, what to do..

I think I want to go hardcore into PvP with the second character, So today I will start skilling those skills up. But more than technical ideas, I am also looking for just ideas / strategy (gameplay) for getting the most out of a second account.

It looks like my little laptop can run two clients at once. i have 2 monitors

Damn.. you got me. This could really get me a ban and keep me from exposing you if I hadn't in fact reported the botting BEFORE posting that. Unfortunately for you that was the final straw that gave me the final push for what I'm gonna be doing next.

Within the next 24 hours I will be making a long post where I will publish (almost) everything I know about this botter and his alts and even how the bot works and it will be free. I just haven't decided under which section but I'll figure it out.. Amarrius and New Even, you're welcome!

Oh the rage *fetches popcorn and beers*
Anyway, beside the "skill up yer alts", I don't really think there's real tricks on improving efficiency when multi-boxing. You should basically look for complimentary tasks, like a salvager going after a mission runner while he moves to the next pocket/mission/anom, or a hauler that carries the ore to a station while the other is sitting idle in the belt with the ore hold slowly filling up, or a freighter alt shipping stuff on autopilot while you get to more fascinating businesses...
But it's only easy in high-sec, in w-space it can be a cloaky alt waitting near a WH to hear it hum if someone jumps while the other toon is running anoms (very passive), or a bait gas-sucker/drake for a gang of cloaked T3s, in null/low-sec it can be a cyno-alt...
Beyond skilling the alt for whatever purpose you have in mind, at some point you might need to train stuff on each alt, but you usually look for a specific job. There isn't really any tricks to multi-boxing IMO.

In PVP, the only way to beat a multi-boxer is to multi-box. CCP would have to re-write the EULA to stop multi-boxing and to argue further is invalid. CCP has already made official statements that boxing is legit and they are probably tired of repeating themselves. There is no loophole around it. It's kinda like playing a tabletop game (DnD, D20), and you have that one player who wants to argue rules for 15 minutes. The GM is God of that game and what they say goes. Period. End of discussion. Time to move on with the game.

Now, as for tips on multi-boxing, I'm useless as I can not afford to duel weild multiple accounts.

I don't even know where this thread has gone to and just seems to be causing more and more confusion. If you have questions about what is allowed or not allowed please file a petition. Beyond that I'm just going to lock this thread as it seems to be going in a circular logic manner now.

Mutli-boxing is allowed if you have questions about programs or such file a petition if you suspect someone is a bot report them through the report bot tool.
