They neut - even if the module is technically a NOS as they have effectively infinite cap it becomes neuting if they can run it at all - which trust me they do.

And cap batteries? how does that work when the target neuting you has no capacitor issues to deal with? afaik all that happens if a sleeper is neuted is that they have a "chance" to miss an armor rep cycle (not even sure if the mechanic is still implemented) as the sleepers armor rep cycle duration is in minutes it has no impact on PVE at all.

Visually, they use NOS, but the effect on your cap reflects neutralizer pressure. The reason is because of how the rats' cap is set up and the fact that they have no module that uses cap (all are capless), meaning that a NOS for them works to the degree of what a neut would do, only that it essentially becomes a neut with a NOS visual effect and an infinently reduced activation cost.

Being pedantic but I would guess it's because NOS is a much lower impact effect visually than neuting, rather than because of anything that relates to how much cap they have.

If they had infinite cap and worked to the same rules as players then their NOSing would never work because their targets would always have less cap than them (NOS doesn't work in this case).

You know the symbol you get on your overview when let's say a player is neutralising/energy vampiring you, they're different, you should easily be able to deduce from the icons that sleepers present which effect they are using on you.

Jack,

I guessed you missed the part where I ask you why you thought what you thought, and when I asked you for some proof you got a little upset.

Don't get me wrong Jack, you clearly have a lot of experience, but all I did was ask you 'why' you answered the way you did. Who am I to question the GREAT JACK MILTON Blink

Com'on Jack, let's be friends...........
