Sent in a Petition:

The following is from :
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Security_Status#How_to_get_above_5.0_Security_Status

"Jeremy Tacs
Mission is suspended for an indefinite time.
System: Mandoo
Mission: A Worthy Task"

Any idea on when this will be re-enabled or weather a different agent will run a similar mission set for the CONCORD boost above 5.0 Security Rating ?

Thank you.

Hi there,

As it stands there are no plans to reactivate the agent. I am afraid that we cannot provide any further details on what may or may not be done with the agent at this current time.

Best regards,

Ok , I got nowhere in the petition system for information on how to achieve a Concord Security rating above a 5.0. They recommended I ask here. So, this is for the DEVS. AttentionAttentionAttention

Where , when , why , what , how and who do we pay (Dev wise) to get the capability of the 5.9-6.1 Concord Security Rating back ?

Inquiring minds would like to know Question . . . . . ( sorry no Kate photo's) Shocked

Best thing is if you don't meet his standing requirements, the agent tells you to go grind and come back. Way to go CCP.

the issue was shared standings. since you can share standings in a fleet, people were exploiting that to get higher than normal standings. The only way to get above 5.0 is to shoot officer spawns. I think there is also another class of null rat that can help get it higher but can't remember which (they're not officers but almost as rare). It's unlikely that you'll play this game long enough to get much higher given the rarity of the spawns.

edit: to clarify, they were running alts and sharing with the main

That is totally wrong, the standing increase from that mission wasn't shared like normal missions. The mission owner got the full %-increase while others in the fleet only got about 0.1% of what the mission owner got. So it was NOT possible to exploit that.

.1% adds up over time and since there is no other way to go above 5.0 (except the one mentioned above), it was done. I don't have the exact link, but the specifics were posted to this forum at least once about a year or so ago. If you know what the reason for the nerf was other than this, please share. I found some threads referring to mach prints/gist items, but since those are farmed in other places, it doesn't seem like a compelling reason to shut down the agent. Still, maybe the devs said exactly that at some point. My google fu doesn't seem to be good enough to find it.

Sounds like a lot of guessing going on. From memory this agent was shut down within the last year or so. The issue that people had and eventually came to a head when the real person that the agent is named after died a year or so ago. This was the most camped mission in the game. Because CCP never moved the mission out of the agents home system and it had the possibility of giving drops that could be worth a bil. People hung out in system with pimped T3's and as soon as you started the mission they would scan you down. Warp into the mission and proceed to race to the main chamber kill the named rat loot and salvage the wreck and head out to jita or Amarr to contract it out. I had personally seen drops from this mission of a Gist C-type xl booster and a Gist booster amp. The named rat could also give T2 salvage.

It would take a while to work a standings exploit on this mission as someone already mentioned the standings gain for being fleeted with someone doing the mission was so low. I am not sure if the post survivied being moved from the old forums to the new ones you may want to try searching on the tacs mission to see if it pulls up that way.

They removed this mission, because people found a way to farm this mission more or less indefinitly. It was supposed to be once per char lifetime FYI.

They could fix it by moving the agent to another corp or just removing the fat faction rat, but apparently cba.

That person actually died several years ago and the agent was created in his honor.

That thread was the one I was referring to about gist/mach prints. But those items can be farmed elsewhere without the need for exploits, so, again, it doesn't seem like a compelling reason. If camping was the reason, then they need to shut down a bunch of other plexes and other agents as well. *shrug* No one in the old threads I can find has any real proof of what happened or why. Maybe some patch notes somewhere?

Obviously CCP has napped on this one. Time to get your crap together gang. Blink

If I remeber correctly this agent is a memorial to a player who sufferd from a rare muscular or nervous system disorder and passed at a young age. Cry

Let's fix the issue by having the mission spawn in the region instead of the system, or I would remove the expensive loot drop for a equivalent reward of CONCORD LP. Idea

But that's just my humble opinion. Cool
