Wait wait wait, what?

E-Uni cried for help, we gladly responded because we're mates like that and you guys didn't even dec them back? Roll

OP is bad and should feel bad.

Thanks for letting us in on the fights though. We're having doog tiems. Maybe you should try it sometime...

Well said Kelduum! Most of the people commenting on here about EvE Uni know absolutely nothing about it or how it works. If any of you actually want to educate yourselves, perhaps go make a new char, do the tutorials, then join rvb with it and attempt to pvp in a ship you can barely fit doing less than 50 dps in most cases.

Then go register and hop onto EvE Uni coms and listen to the people in there. Take some of the classes, understand what EvE Uni really is. I can safely say that as far as fleet discipline is concerned, EvE Uni is one of the best I have seen. There are no lemmings, no one talking over the FC, they are eager and professional. The same can not be said for most Major alliances in this game.

Just so I understand; you're saying a new player's only choices to learn how to PVP are to

A. Join RvB and learn by doing (and getting blown up a lot and having fun the whole time) because we are not nor do we bill ourselves as a teaching institution.

or

B. Join E-Uni and sit through some very straightlaced (though very informative) courses and be subjected to serious business comms and attitudes?

I suppose it comes down to how much you value fun. If you want to come home from work or school and log into this game so you can go back to school then by all means do so. For me the choice is clear. I'll take RvB's fail fleets and drunken comms all day every day.

You'll notice we're not the ones needing help here. We seem to do alright for a bunch of drunken rifter alts.

If you care that much about them, dec us and put us in our place. If you don't, the entire community is going to continue laughing at you as a ragey carebear who wants to shout at PvPers who want to prove a point and show how weak EVE uni is in the grand scheme of things. Seriously.....ridiculous

We carebear alot!

Even shooting at
NOOBs you obviously do not carebear enough!

We all know why you WONT war dec my main's corp right!! Haven't we been here before and we were begged to end the war?????

I seriously can't understand your reasoning sometimes. You know damn well my main is in the number one corp in eve and we don't need to war dec noobs to pad our killboard. You know that I own another corp that having not even been active in over two years still remains ahead of your own on BC. Yet you mouth off as though you have somehow earned your stripes padding your killboard stats ganking haulers in high sec and you expect me to be "Disingenuous" about wanting to help EvE Uni??

Here is a "How to" video for you. This is how to fight EVE Uni when they blob with only 4-5 pilots in your own fleet. I maintain that it is infact U-Mad that needs the training right now as you obviously can't cope with pods, haulers and mission runners blobbing...

The Final Stand vs EvE Uni Blob... 4 pilots vs 60.. oh noes right???

If you need any more instructional video's on how "The Final Stand" carebears... you can start with youtube and work your way up from there.

Rather dumb you are comparing 77 and 89 month old corps to a 4 month old one. Thats like comparing a frog to a tadpole and expecting them to jump the same distance.

You see we can exchange body measurements all day but it wont solve anything. Id rather we discuss the hiking trip that eve uni is on and how they went down the wrong path.

ps, was that 40 man blob fight before blackbirds? Lol

id also like to point out some math that you should look up, you claim your corp is 1337 because you have 17k killed and 1,070.bill killed. but you fail to see that it took you 7 years to do that.

if M.A.D keeps up its rates for the same amount of time as your corp did, by the 7 year mark we will have about 46k killed and 10,031bill killed.

Not to mention your corp has killed 0 ships this week, maybe you should spend less time crying for "HALP" and more playing the game?

ps. still waiting on your war dec fox,

1.You understand incorrectly, read suggestion on joining eve uni or rvb with a noob char in context. No where does it say these are the only choices.

2. We do have them war dec'd. Six of us have chars in RvB Blink

That was a cute blob earlier that RvB/Eve Uni took from the Hek station to the Jita Station. Seemed like you all were expecting us to fight on station.....

Instead we have started to pick off your returning fleet members 1 by 1 as they come home.

http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=46018

Got to give props to that guy though. Very well mannered member and it was a pleasure meeting him.

ps. you should have killed my daredevil earlier :)

What a shame U-Mad won't actually fight a fleet like that right?

So far in RvB we have taken 3 fleets to jita with 5-6 of them logged in, only to find they all log off when we get to New Caldari... lol,,, go figure Shocked

U-Mad CEO clarified it all in one post. They are only interested in cheap opportunist ganks because they have no idea how to fight an actual fleet.

Hence the griefing and killboard padding.

On an interesting sidenote, I am quite enjoying U-Mad posting on their mains and answering themselves on their alts, including the alts in RvB.... Lol

LOL, so Ivy League set our war to mutual and joined Dec Shield to try to push us out of the war with third party forces. Too bad the jokes on him. We're not scared of anyone. We've been in Dec Shield, we took their wars and we basically merc'd for them. Too bad they broke the old Dec Shield, now we'll just have to be happy with the scrubs who join to try to fight us.

This thread is officially closed.... I have never laughed so much in my life as I am right now.

Quote:
"War is like fire; people who do not lay down their arms will die by their arms".

The war should be fought swiftly to avoid economic losses: "No long war ever profited any country: 100 victories in 100 battles is simply ridiculous. Anyone who excels in defeating his enemies triumphs before his enemy's threat become real".

As someone who was in E-uni for a few months and also was part of a corp that decced E-Uni over the summer i can see both sides of this arguement.
I reguarly look at the uni killboard and go on their forums, in my opinion the culture has changed, the uni seems less concerned now bout shutting down completely during wartime, as it did when I was a member, and more to do with reasonably strict rules that give you leeway to mess up and to learn. For such a large and diverse corporation their losses really are quite minimal, in part because unistas are well trained and in part because most losses are from younger players. High sec wrecks seem to be done mostly to irritate the defender and I don't see why E-Uni should be exempt from that. Although there are many young players there are also enough experienced players who are able to lead fleets that are tough to mess with. The same is true of their LSC which brought about the war decs in summer.
I actually think that the more interesting thing about the Uni is the change in their ROE and a change in attitude towards ganking by some of the playes, I can't find the link on my phone but there have been neutral industrial ganks in null and more of an aggressive, smack talking style of play in low. This is all obviously valid, accepted gameplay techniques, it just seems to move away from the very neutral safe Uni of old, and is more of a general, branched, corporation style with different groups doing different things. The uni seems to be becoming a place where it is easy to stay for a long time even if your focus is pvp, and to me that makes its focus less of a training corp and more of a corp that offers good training and accepts young players as well as old.

Tl:dr I went off topic, the uni will deal with whatever you throw at it.

I think we have gotten to the stage in this war where the Eve Uni leadership is out of answers. We have gone from constructive criticism in this thread to random/poorly thought out insults. Some people are getting rather pathetic.

Haven't you heard that its not healthy to run away from your problems. Its miraculous how every week our war just happens to be redeced without skipping a beat. Maybe this war is just karma or maybe it's for all of those years you used dec shield to cover up your weaknesses. Dec shield can't shed your war now :)

Now remember this. Your flocks of sheep cant stay away from the wolves forever. As fearless stated earlier; you all are perfectly safe being in 100 person fleets but when personal skill comes into play you better be waiting on that school bus to pick you up.

Oh I almost forgot. Somebody needs to apologize to rvb for this war. They didn't ask for unconventional warfare and I guarantee you all promised them station camps. Say sorry to them for lying and apologize to us for calling us station huggers. Don't worry I'll Wait.

ROFL @ you expecting a 40 person corp to meet you on some sort of field of Bushido Space E-honourororor and fight fleets head on that they have no chance of winning against. We can't even field as many people as E-Uni or RVB can field Logis and you want us to fight you your way? I don't think so.

Meanwhile, we'll keep racking up the kills.. what's the total up to now for us? Almost 10b in damages vs 800m in losses?

Edit: But seriously, E-uni.. what are you guys thinking trying this?

This, my friends is the stuff that Eve is made of. The clash of in game cultures and philosophies.

Like my corpmate Arianne mentioned, we had a brief war with the Eve U as part of the whole LSC thing this summer. When the LSC camp moved elsewhere, our war ended. I don't think of our corp as nice or even fair, but deccing Eve U after the LSC was moved elsewhere really did not interest anyone.

That said I do read the Eve U lossmails during these wars. Anyone who doesn't admit they get a kick out of the victims of the mission machariel and obelisk kills begging to not be kicked from the corp is lying. It's proof that Eve is alive and kicking.

When I got wind that RvB had joined Eve U in their war I decided to spend this past weekend around Aldrat in order to take in some of the action and drama. While I didn't see much, I love everything about this ongoing war.

You have Eve U and RVB as the British Army, marching out in 100 ship rank and file fleets and you have UMAD scattering and taking up positions to pick off stragglers as they return home, like the American revolutionary army hiding behind stone walls. That this sort of stuff can even occur within game mechanics is what makes Eve so great.

Although I've already admitted the pleasure I get from reading the comments on the juicy Eve U lossmails, I do have a lot of respect for what they are out there trying to do in Eve and its no easy task. As a hi-sec troublemaker myself, I also enjoy the prankster-esque actions of UMAD.

I chatted a bit in local on Saturday with Kel, Eve U's CEO and made sure that he knew that this thread and the entire war were being appreciated by people like myself, parties not directly involved on either side. You have to respect the different philosophies of all three parties involved in this war, as it's the clash of those different groups that make this so entertaining.
