EVE-MENTAT - 2 questions for users

Have a question to users of eve-mentat :

Arrow How certain are you this program is not containing key loggers or anything that gets to your account names and passwords? I would love to start using it, but am wary of installing executables - so please help me understand why I should trust the guys behind Mentat!

Arrow Does it require logging into an account to upload new market data or can such data be uploaded automatically via an API. Why do I ask: option A) if I have to log into an account anyway to check which of my buy orders have been 'beaten' by others, I might as well immediately update these orders. option B) If - on the other hand - I can do that check without logging into the char it can save me a lot of time. So, is it option A) or B) with this program

Well, regarding the first question. One of us would undoubtedly have noticed by now if he really had a keylogger running for a certain purpose (stealing accounts). Other than that, you really cannot be sure I think. But I prefer to give people the benefit of doubt, especially people putting in a lot of time for an application.
