Yes, we had the calculator method, but here's a fact the OP forgot to put into his post:

1) Open EFT
2) Import API
3) Fit ship
4) Look at optimal range
5) Press the "EASY" button from Staples.


Now, BEFORE EFT or some other sites that calculated it for you, it was pretty involved on the calculator.

1) Open Ship fittings.
2) Right Click on module
3) Show info
4) Select Attributes Tab
5) Scroll down to stats
6) Open calculator
7) Copy index for Maximum flight time
8) Paste into calculator
9) Press multiply
10) Copy Flight Velocity
11) Paste into calculator
12) Press Enter

Well I'm lazy, I take the velocity x flight time for a round about range to start shooting at and work it out from there

it's not as if it took acceleration into account so you can still murder the newbies at the edge of what they suppose to be their missile range

wel im sure if you talk to right people in ccp´s staff and convince them that you need hardcore mode for tis game, they will implement one just for you. Cool

Personally anything that helps new players have a little easyer learning curve of this game is positive since, more player == more targets to shoot.

We are Minmatar, Our ship are made of scraps, but look what our scraps can do...
