Unscannable cov ops still possible?

It's been over a year since I played. A while back it was possible to fit out a cov ops so that it couldn't be scanned. Does this still work? I'm trained for the Cheetah, but could fairly easily finish off a different race frigate if needed. Any fitting suggestions?

Thanks.

Also OP, it's theoretically not possible anymore but you'd still need close to perfect skills or some implants to be able to probe you down.

OP, you can't scan a cloaked ship.

Nice board pvp *rolls eyes*

Thanks Eva for answering the question.

I thought it would be obvious that I meant while it was uncloaked. Guess I have to spell things out for this crowd.

they way you worded your question looked like you were asking if ships fitted with a cov ops cloak (fitted, not active, just fitted) were unscannable or not.

bottom line is, except for the unprobable T3 with cov ops sub, all ships that can fit cov ops could be probed down, unless they were cloaked up.

even in the exception, having a cloak wasn't mandatory, since you could make them unprobable either way.

so yeah, unless cloaked up, every cov op cloak capable ship is probable.

moreso now that CCP nerfed unprobable setups (that still require maxed skills, LG virtue set and high grade hardwirings btw)

This may be repeating what has been covered, but it doesn't seem to have been said clearly:

Unprobeability has been nerfed. Your sensor strength/sig ratio has been hard capped by CCP so that it can never reach the unprobeable threshold, however, it is still high enough that when you approach the limit you can generally only be found by a Virtued, max-skilled covops.

In short, you can't be 'unprobeable' anymore, but you'll still be damn hard to probe. Your call on whether it's useful or not - I've still been able to mission successfully in 0.0 without problems, but if you're loitering AFK uncloaked somewhere people might put in the effort to get a virtued clone over to where you are.
