Odd duality launcher behavour ( windows 7 )

When i try to launch Duality, i get a slightly buggy launcher with the "play" button on the top right af the launcher window, then when i click it, nothing happens.

Is there a workaround for this?

The old test server launcher doesn't work anymore. Here are the instructions for connecting to the test servers
