sleipnir vs. Angel rats

I have been shooting mostly at Sanshas so far. Been wondering what fit to use for Angel rats (at hub-havens-sanctums or DEDs up to 8/10). Speed tanking the Sansha battleships was no problem. I went in an angel forlorn hub/den with my AC sleip and it was having a hard time, required me to run the booster (XL shield booster + med cap booster) almost constantly.

So i was thinking i would try an arty sleip:

-would replace a gyro/TE with a DC II for better tank at more difficult sites and or put an anti-kinetic rig

And also would ask guys having experience with angel sites what worked for you (with your sleipnir).

I am not old, just bitter.

I know, shame on me on using a PVE sleipnir, but i fell in love with the hull and would like to use it for both PVP and PVE.

I've used an arty maelstrom and an AC maelstrom. I must say i prefer AC's - with the falloff bonus and tracking benefits, i think it's a no brainer. You loose so much DPS to volley over-kill with arty's. Ac's are also more fun imo.

The maelstrom ist of course an alternative, also used mostly the AC one.
Why i would like to stick with the sleipnir is - smaller sig, more agile (some speed tanking), better tank?, the arty sleip would eat less ammo.
I can also GTFO faster when at a site/complex in case hostiles enter the system.

forget ammo costs. its all about speed. It's literally about killing as much and as quickly as possible.

Issue with the Sleipnir vs. Angel rats is its explosive/kinetic hole and their superior tracking.
Since they like to glide in at close range, I think rangekiting them with arties would give better results than trying to sigtank them with ACs.
But in eitherway, I think a Maelstrom would get you much more bang for your buck.
