When trading, buying low and selling high, are you looking for immediate reward -- say in terms of days? or is it the long haul with listing the items at a price and simply waiting for them to be sold?

Depends on how much you like playing 0.01 games , how much of that unit is sold a day , how much the profit expectation is but MOSTLY , how much isk can you leave on the market without finding yourself short on money to do your daily trade/stuff.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

This entirely depends on your trading style.

At a major hub you can get short term results by updating your orders frequently.

If you trade at small hubs, the sale volume may be low, but you may not need to update your orders for days.

If not sure what to do, I would set up many long term market orders at small hubs (at relatively large profit margins).

And a few orders in a busy hub, which you can update regularly.

In a few days/weeks you will have a decent idea of which style makes more sense to you. Will depend partly on items you trade in, and what sort of ships you can fly.

Immediate rewards in trading are not very frequent. Market manipulation can potentially earn you large instant profits. Patch speculation also has potential for sort term results.

If you have a large number of orders there is always a chance that you'll come into an instant windfall when you get a large payment for an item that you have the lowest sell order for (happens when someone tries to buy an item at a station at a price higher than the lowest. The sale always goes to the lowest order). I've noted at least 1.5b I have got this way over the years. 330m of these came in at an early stage and were quite useful.

Any colour you like.

I dont get why such question.
Do what you think its fun for you.

When you enter the home, you enter with right or left foot first?
I mostly do left, sinde my door handle is on right side, so my body naturaly tends forward using oposite foot than hand opening the door.

I can insert a wall of text here RAW23 style that will explain and deep analyse every method, but that not change the fact that your question is, well, shallow.

Ask something else please, I'll be glad to answer.
