Here's my first YAARRRRR: http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac170/Manso2525/Whoops8-28-12.png

I blocked out the Corp's name who issued it to save them embarrassment. I did price out the item values based on buy orders and it added up to 2.5b.

It found me... only one so far. Like winning the lottery I guess.

I always check the value of what I'm hauling because I don't want to go over my limit, and I know most people don't value the collateral correctly. I always set my collat 5%-10% above my estimated sell price. If someone wants to pop it, then I just treat it like a sale. Hasn't happened yet.

I always have moments where I'm keeping an eye on a sell order of mine, see that someone has put up a sell order for 0.01isk above the top buy price, reflexively curse the cretan's very existence before realising they've meant to set it higher but just hit enter, forgot to change the price and it hasn't passed 5 mins for them to take the order down yet.

Always a "Yup I'll just take that and relist it . . . thanks for saving me the hassle of monitoring another buy order!" with those ones

When you sell to a buy order and you are selling more that the size of the buy order the remaining stuff is listed as a sell at the same price.

So it isn't that they were trying to sell higher - it's that they filled the highest buy order and had stuff left over which automatically went into sell orders. It looks like it's 0.01isk above the buys because the order they filled has now disappeared.

That only happens if you don't use "immediate" for the sell duration, which also means you have to pay a brokers fee on top of the sales tax. All immediate orders do not stay on the market.

Meh, happens if you use advanced sell, not simple sell.
