My EVE

So I finally got around to making another pvp vid. This was intended to be a full length 20-30m or so feature vid.

HOWEVER, all my livestreaming footage is recorded in .flv, which Vegas 7 refuses to use. I have tried to use handbrake and some "super c" program to convert it to mp4, but that still doesn't work half the time in vegas, or imports, but runs extremely choppy.

I know Kovorix was able to use some of his streaming footage in his video, so if anyone knows the secret to doing this, I would love you longtime if you were to show me how.

The end result of the above, was that I was forced to use the handful of fraps I recorded PRIOR to livestreaming, which, while not bad, is hardly the same quality as some of my livestreaming(and only represents like 5% or less of the footage I had planned for this vid - I ended up using more of the fraps footage just so I could put out SOME sort of video).

Consider this a teaser of just "so-so" footage for the upcoming vid.(It's still head and shoulders above quite a bit of footage I've seen passed off as "solo pvp", so keep that in mind) ;)

Ships Used: Harpy(1st gen and some 2nd gen of my fit), Merlin(1st gen rail fit)

All fights are unlinked, with the exception of the last one. No implants are used.(Okay, I might've had +4s in during a handful of the clips) =P

My editing is still horrible, so don't expect any awesome intro's like Kovorix and everyone else seems to do. :(

PPS-Very srsly, plse someone(Kovorix, Kil2, I'm looking at you) tell me how u incorporate streaming footage into a vid. =P

try freemake video converter for transcoding. the UI sucks and you have to make a custom template with proper rendersettings, but it works quite well and is free.

Hey m8, sorry about this - I never used streaming footage since I didn't stream, I just frapsed while kil2 streamed. I'd follow the advice of the folks above, but idk exactly.

In a certain forum I am a part of, there is a group of ppl who dislike me. (the name of the video reflects ,y standing on said forum....I'm infamous there).

One of the ppl who dislike me on said forum happens to be Prometheus exenthal, an individual I used to have a lot of respect for. He repeatedly trashed this fit, called it bad etc etc, and the others supported him. When shown the literally 100+ kills(almost 200 now I think) with this fit in it's iterations(with the vast majority being from even more intense fights than the last one), that group changed their story to "it works, but only with links and implants"

I'm fairly certain I could solo a Machariel with this fit without links and they'd still find something to complain about, so that's where that comment came from(it was half joking) :p

I appreciate all the feedback and suggestions on programs, and will look them up when I get home. ;)

Hopefully I can put out a proper video in the next week if those work. :P

^^It was actually a 3 parter, but the second clip(which *was* recorded with fraps) also for some reason wouldn't import into Vegas. It just froze up every time I tried. I could import the 3rd one, but you'd miss half the fight.

Just got home from work, am gonna have a look at some of the programs suggested above, and hopefully get some footage converting. :)

No, this is an earlier version of that fit - this one has a named disruptor, The one you killed was (I believe, this is from memory) my latest iteration with t2 rig and t2 disruptor. :p

You got incredibly lucky as I had been roaming for ages, was tired, and literally went STRAIGHT at you like a ******(everyone makes horrible mistakes sometimes). =D

Yeah ignore prom, good pilot but takes tantrums when he loses a fight.

All I can really honestly 100% say bad about the vid is the font, everything else was good.

Keep practicing editing, comes with time like most stuff.

Its actually pretty straight forward

download portable or installer. start avidemux.exe.

File->open->point to .flv file.

Let everything be at default

File->save->typenameyouwantforfile.avi

Use the avi file in whatever program you want

When you get the hang of it you can cut the parts you want to use from the raw footage into smaller avi files by using the markers and then save

edit->set A marker for the starting frame and edit->set B marker for the last frame you want

How old is the footage in this vid? Aesheera hasn't been around in a while
