Hi

It's quite a simple idea

When you have *new* ideas to implement, you code in a *no login until u answer* poll into the login screen

70% and don't say im wrong because basically none of my alliance Use the test server.

Have polls and get the REAL vote of EvE players on matters

No a tiny vocal majority on the forums and the test server

U say u wanna listen to ur fan base?

THEN LISTEN

they listen to their fanbase who chooses to come and help out ... works the same way in many countries with voting. Lots of people don't do it, but they're stuck with the "vocal minority" who actually cared enough to do so.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The test server is not useful if you are not concerned with changes that are available to try on it.

Many players, lets say 70% to use your figure, are not concerned with the changes available to be evaluated on this test server. This may be because they simply don't care or don't know, or are too busy, or possibly some combination of the three.

Do you seriously want people voting on an issue, who are not interested or concerned with the consequences?

InB4 political drama!

Basically, this comes down to discussing the merit of the right to vote vs the duty to vote. Long discussion, have fun.

Are you still butthurt with the AI changes?

If you're gonna post here thinking your idea is the greatest thing since bacon and that it will save EVE and possibly all humankind with it, you're gonna have a bad time.

I for one welcome more NPC AI Challenges

It'll make it so L4 missions train you for sleepers

The question is why?

99% a waste of time when you can get a much better fun/return of your time investment watching The Simpsons.

Unfortunately.

I have no issue with the Ai changes at all, i like it

My point

Is that CCP need to find a way of getting peoples opinions ACROSS THE BOARD

Not just a small forum majority who barley play eve online but troll the forums all day

If somebody doesnt care about the testserver, he/she wont give you a reliable answer if you force it.

Also, this is a ******* game.
CCP cant force its customers to do things they dont want to play the game.

It would help if there was one test server, not 3. If they had the code for testing available in a form people can test. (Duality was put up with the npc AI changes, but high sec was instant death, and the markets weren't seeded, invalidating most of the testing that could be done) They could also keep a sticky with what is being tested on each server, and have a changelog. It's ridiculous that a player has to post changelogs, so people have some idea what's going on patch to patch.

Not being able to rework your skills in order to test different parts is also a horrible testing environment for most players. Even if you could set up a job to mirror your character at will, it would be better than the set up they have now. Overall, they don't make it easy to test, so it's not surprising that people don't come out to test.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

This is about as sensible as putting a load of angry rednecks in charge of sentancing at a petty theft trial.

People are dumb. Leave the difficult, complex feedback to those players actively motivated to provide input, and you weed out a lot of the dumb (not all though, obviously!)
