So this Post is going to use theoretical numbers as I don't know where ccp is aiming to put anti-captical damage for dreadnauts yet. All following numbers are use simply to put froth the idea of a possible rebalance to the moros without removing the flavor of the ship.

The current plan for the Moros
  • So as most of you already know ccp is planing to remove the drone use of the Moros and increase it's dps while in siege mode. Lets say the new dps goal they are aiming for is 5000 dps. This would if done right help the Moros but kill it's flavor.

    • Moros suggestion
  • 5,000 dps with guns is one idea, but my proposal is to instead remove all gun bonus from the Moros while it's in siege mode. But give it's drones a bonus to drone damage to equal the same dps. While increasing the drone sig so the drones can only hit capital target.

    • This might open it up to fit a nasty tank, and just all in all do the same damage while still being a drone ship. I mean look at the model. It was not designed art wise to be a gun ship, it's full of bridges and control towers. Let the Moros have fighter bombers. You can tweak the tank and dps to be the same, while retaining just a little bit of variety and flavor.

    That is all.


    p.s.(no I've never flown a Moros, but I flown against them. They are a large drone threat, the idea of them being just gun boats, is unsettling)

    So, you want to give people FBs, but instead of having to invest 16-20B in a S.Carrier, they just drop 1.5B on an insured Dread? I predict a MASSIVE surge in Moros production, lol.

    No, just no, this is so absurd it doesn't even bear consideration.

    The other problem is that the SP/time required to pilot a Fighter Bomber capable Moros is way out of line with other Dreds.

    It takes about 25 days to get the skill "Drone Interfacing" to level 5... which is needed for the skill "Fighters." Then a little over 60 days to get the skill "Fighters" to level 5... which is needed for the skill "Fighter Bombers."
    That's 3 months right there.

    With current capital turrets it takes a few days to get small and medium [racial] turret to level 3... then about ~25 days to get large [racial] turret to level 5.

    How did you Veterans start?

    Nope :P but i have fought a lot of them. and even if this idea is a poor one, the idea of a moros not having drones is weird :(

    What if siege mode instead gave a 700% bonus to drone damage and increase their sig resolution by 400%?

    Then it would just be normal drones that deal out the same dps as the Moros would of done with guns?

    I guess the whole fb thing was a bad idea :P I've never flown anything past a Nag.
