lol someone want piece of what jove's are having badly...

"The Jove Empire is isolated from the rest of the world to all but a selected few. The Jovians are a mystery to the other races, fueled not only by their elusiveness, but also their highly advanced technology, eons ahead of the other races. The Jovians have been civilized longer than any other race in the world of EVE and have gone through several golden ages"

Jove are "ancient" race come back when you become civilized and with few golden ages(eons) under your belt.

Bold few things in there.

A Jovian agent exists, and looks just like G-Man.
He carries a briefcase which is also a gun.

yeah, the live events that started last year had no story behind them

I believe he was referring to the lack of Jovian chronicles, not chronicles in general.

I still have a Jovian blood drop and bone chip if you want to reverse engineer the Joves back into the game. Hopefully the melted snowballs won't have washed them away.

The Jovians are hiding in their little hole, because they are scared shitless by the Enheduanni.

Basically, the Enheduanni played the Joves like a violin during the Gallente-Amarr war by forcing them to act. In order to prevent this from happening again, the Jovians destroyed all stargates leading to their space. This doesn't protect them from the Enheduanni, as they do not need stargates to travel. However, the Jovians do need the stargates to travel, so this prevents the Enheduanni from using the Jovians as pawns.

Of course, now that the Jovians are isolated, we have no idea if the Enheduanni have given up on the Jovians, or if they have managed to subvert them somehow.

Granted, I haven't been keeping up to date on my lore, so I have no idea if my lolrp is still accurate.

I know where the Dust chronicles are, but I am still a bit sad that no EVE chronicles have been seen again. Where is CCP Abraxas by the way? He used to post quire regularily but is MIA since last year.

About the live events I must admit I have not yet heard or seen many of them, but that might just be a case of wrong place and wrong time.

He is working on the 'immersion project' to tie EVE's fiction together and integrate it into EVE more closely. See blog. That is also why the in character news stopped updating ages ago, the volunteers who used to write it are working on this too.

That SOCT frigate, unique gift a few years ago...from above it looks like a rising sun motif. Exact same design seen in some sleeper sites.

the Jovian Directorate is secretly a division of the Terran Confederation .... we cant access Jovian space because they have the last remaining wormhole back to earth..........

well may be not but it would be a great way to create a back story for an Epic Arc Mission called "The search for Earth".

have a huge epic arc mission set that spans throughout all of known space yes ALL space... (high sec, low sec, npc null, sov null, and wormhole space)

have all aspects of eve careers be required to find the "jump" coordinates AND the blueprint to build a unique ship capable of jumping to those coordinates..... the coordinates lead to the wormhole back to earth.

Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless you are from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs.

Its hinted/rumoured that Sansha's ability to open wormholes and launch his incursions is due to some piece of Jovian technology found in an abandoned(?) Jovian station. That was only last year, so the Jove are indirectly influencing the storyline still.

.

With jump portal certificate, is labeled wormhole Generation, so any pilot with the skills can create a temporary wormhole. Not sure if Sansha is an '03 pirate character but propably played enough to have that certificate. But think she does that in hi sec as well. Which us demi god pilots are not capable of. Mabye that is the big part to it all.

Like the Q comparison, it seems the jovians, but jovians dont like rushing in like retards to make mess of things like them. Mabye the Q people are like the jovians black sheep of the family.

With how the jovians are using sansha (learned from this thread) it reminds me of Lord Zedd in power rangers. He just has Rita(sansha) sent in at first then comes in himself.

They could be like Gandolf as well maybe, he was reclusive and also showed up when he wanted to unanounced.

Some of that at the end sounded cool. But for us players, on earth and enjoying earth, we kind of want the earth storyline more then the new eden races do. In the story earth ran out of resources for people and they left it a hunk or dry earth of something and found the space we are currently in. I imagine it would be hard for them to go back, since they left it looking terrible and such. Like it would take time to get over that and want to face the past and such.

It is fun for us players to want earth, but we are also a lot less guilt ridden as well.

Dust Chronicles are Eve chronicles, if you read how they're going to start publically testing mercenarty technologies soon, instead of calling it a beta like anyone else means that DUST 514 will be a part of eve online the moment the software is ready for testing.

actually i was refering to deviana saying that the story has been on hold, the incursions and live events behind them were entirely friven by story, as is the current live event, the a'j project and hilen tukos's defection. he appears to be ignoring all of that and the story that goes with it

In my mind ive always liked to think that the Sansha stole their wormhole generation technology from the Jovians. Because even after the Jovians blew all their gates they managed to pop up around the place still.

Interesting story would be whether they stole it from the jove or looted it from their dead civilization.

Pretty much this, except I don't think it will necessarily "kill" EvE depending on what / how Jovian content is released. I would expect Jovians to stay quiet and mysterious until EvE needs a huge expansion, the Jovians IMHO are CCP's Trump card for when everything else has run dry.

The possiblities are endless - GM controlled Jovian ship attacks, Jovian Technology (modules? weapon types?) or even *gasp* playable Jovian ships, or Jovian toons.

If I were CCP though, I'd shelve the Jovians till I had run out of anything else to add to the game, when its showing its age, when players are genuinely diminishing en masse - I'd suck em all back in by unleashing this beast for one last hoorah.

Having NPC races that you can't play, but are cool, along with territory you can see, but not visit, is a tried-and-true MMO design tactic - gives you something to salivate over, and making the moment you finally develop and release such content that more compelling.

Fortunately / Unfortunately, there is an almost infinite amount of content to provide to the game in the meantime, as long as players keep subscription numbers going. My money is still on CCP waiting till they absolutely need something galaxy-shattering to shake things up before they dust off the Jovians.

Well to be honest since everytime if someone talks about new eden they state it as a cluster so i'm wondering isn't New eden a Galaxy at all? Can it be New eden is like a separated Cloud next to a larger Galaxy a few hundredthousand Ligthyears in distance like M31 to the milkyway?

Or maybe its a separated part from a much bigger galaxy maybe at the very end New edens Scientists find out we're just a jump away from lets say Andromeda?

Cause as i see it within current state, nearly all of the 0.0 space is allready claimed and technically nothing new is there to explore except the Jovian space we can see on the map but its unreachable, I'd really like to see Jovians giving away another part of their technology to the rest from New Edens population like they did with the capsules years ago....maybe a better jumpdrive to reach out in the unexplored new to adding space sourounding New Eden but not beeing visible yet cause of the current state of technology.

What about that?

Why don't you read the Canon, Chronicles, Evelopedia (great source) and other official stuff, you'll find many answers to your questions.

Also, "New Eden" is the commonly accepted name of the cluster of systems linked by the stargates network, originated in the New Eden system, Genesis region.

If you want to see a jovian by yourself, you'll need some special accreditations and extremely high placed connections within CONCORD, for there is a Jove ambassador in Yulaï, member of the Inner Circle, if i remember correctly.

Finally, there is space still out of range of Jove influence, w-space, where Sleepers have been hidding / hidden / locked (still the be determined) away from the Cluster for many centuries or even milleniums until the Seyllin Incident.

Read. The. Stuff. Always enjoyable.
