2012 marks the 10th aniversity of the Talk like a Pirate day!

I drove my boss mad with this yesterday. Also got some wierd looks from my colleagues.

for some reason my Boss' Boss always rings me on days like these. It usually starts with....

ME: AAARRRGGGHHH 'XXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXX' How can a be helpin' ye?

BOSS' BOSS: hi err can i speak to 'Boss' please?

Me: AAAAARRRGGGHH Yes ye be wanting to speak ta Daaaavy Jones, he be scraping barnicles off of the hull at the moment can ah give him a message.

BOSS' BOSS: err no thats ok i'll call his mobile.

5 mins later....

Boss: That was my friken boss you just talked to in the voice of a pirate!! I've told you about it before.

Me: Then why on the one day a year that he rings my desk to speak to you, when he could ring yours to speak to you. Why is it always talk like a pirate day? i think he likes it and just wants to shout at you.

Boss: Look i dont have time for this we'll talk later.

Its hilarious, the best part is, my Boss is the only one that goes nuts over it. clients i work with think its funny, or adds a personal touch to what i do... i personally dont get how it adds to my job but if they like it why not.

The best part is they cant fire me for the way i talk Cool

Also my Boss cant cut me out for a day, 90% of the time i do the presentations or the high dollar jobs. He just has to suck it up.
