small relatively simple programs run on most smart cellphones. and they would be based off of a satellite based positioning system.

Well some GPS systems have a voice saying 'Please observe speed limit" so you could probably change that to 'Warp drive active".

Just remember that trying to modify game files is against the EULA. However it would be interesting if it was a beep then Aura's voice saying "Warning Shields at X%" "Warning Armor at X%" "Warning You're about to die, silly pilot".

CCP should come out with a voice app for GPS...it would be pretty cool.

I laugh derisively at you people who get worried at shield/armor alarms. As it is, "low hull" sounds like "challenge accepted" to me.

Now, if we had the ship exploding noise, I'd be up and spamming the warp button in a flash.

You could use Audacity to record the sounds and save it in whatever format you like.
Set audio input to "stereo mix" and record away.

How about the locking sound right before the actual alarm, remixed zzip zzap with " the capacitor is empty".
