When we import prices for the following item categories it gives the error, everything else works fine

Rogue Drone Components
Ships
Structures
Drones
Modules

i'm having problems on the first screen after loading but not getting any error messages, just a permanent egg-timer.

steps to reproduce:-

- first loaded blueprint tab screen

- all or owned selected (doesnt matter which)

- select any blueprint

- egg timer goes on ad infinitum. (well, at least 50-60 mins after which i'd had enough and stopped the program).

I had backup of the crashed program install folder and tried the above solution you recommended and it worked.

So I narrowed down the problem by checking the xml file which crashing and found the wrong settings which causing all these issues.

All these issues occured due to the "Build Slot Modifier" value in "ApplicationSettings.xml" file which you have changed in 2.2

Solution:
Value "1" is wrong and when we changed to "1.00", the issue get resolved. ("1" to "1.00")

Yeah this is the issue. I'll get this corrected tonight.

OK, new build up.

Build 2.2.4631.30960

  • Fixed errors and updated processing for settings files. This should correct 'Conversion from string "" to type 'Double' is not valid.' errors due to the Build Time Modifier settings on the BP and Manufacturing tabs. If you still get this error, try to reset your settings from the menu before loading a blueprint.
  • Took price updates out for several items that EVE Central was returning as errors. These items include all Faction Towers and Structures, all faction Drones, and the following items: Megathron Federate Issue, Elite Drone AI, 'Daemon' Codebreaker I, 'Codex' Codebreaker I, 'Alpha' Codebreaker I, 'Libram' Codebreaker I, Talocan Data Analyzer I, Sleeper Data Analyzer I, Terran Data Analyzer I, Tetrimon Data Analyzer I. If you still receive notice that the EVE Central Server is Unavailable. Let me know in the forums.

As always, let me know here if you have any issues and I'll do my best to correct them. Sorry for the recent issues.

I'm not sure what that would be. Let me know if it's still causing issues. There is no reason this sort of thing should happen with what you described.

Nice program and nice to have price check working again. I might have missed it in the last 25pages of posts but is it possible to change the quantity in the component material list (or shopping list). I am using IPH to calculate the minerals needed to build a capital ship, I already have x number of capital components built and want to take these away from whats needed so it gives me the minerals I actually need.

If there is not a way, then call this a feature request :) Perhaps add a new column to the right of quantity named Owned or Already Have. Then let the user enter in the amount they already have (like how you can edit the ME level), and add a refresh button. This will then calculate the new mineral requirement.

This or something like it is a frequent request. Next feature update I plan to add the ability to do this and I hope to have it scan assets and update the numbers for you automatically. Just have a few bugs/changes that I need to make with the current features first.

I have a question regarding the "split prices" functionality.

I see as an advantage having "raw mats" as "min sell" and "items" as "max buy" which is as I understand, getting the materials prices as you could buy them from the market and final produced item prices as the maximum buy order that you could fulfill.

When you look at T2 items or other items that requires components, it uses then at the component prices, the prices are fetched from buy orders instead .. Is it really desirable to be like this ?

For example, some adv. capital construction parts, the cheapest you could get from market is 750k ISK, but the maximum buy order in Jita is 20k, which means any calculation that involves the component cost (not the raw mats cost) that uses it is going to be borked.

So kind of a feature request Big smile to provide a split prices that uses a different "import type" (i.e. buy, sell or avg prices) only for the final product price (either via the app options or different checkbox for the behavior), this way you could really compare costs of build/buy of components from the market (min sell) against buy orders of the final item.

The way it is currently implemented only shows the "proper" component cost if you would buy from market only if you don't check split prices and uses min sell prices.

Sorry if I have missed any previous discussions about this topic, I'm a bit new to this thread.

Yeah, this is a random error that comes up now and again and I can't seem to pinpoint the issue. The program should open fine on another attempt.

If you can send me the log file entry for this error, that would help out a lot. The log is in your install folder.

Thanks

Got a crash today while updating prices. Stack dump follows.
Semi-related question, would it be possible for a future version to allow saving and loading of the shopping list?

I'm not having any issues so not sure what it is. Can you send me what prices you update and how? Also, what bp's you are updating and how. A screenshot of the program with what options you have selected on the screen when the error occurs would also be helpful.

Thanks
