Well, I just ended my 1.5b bond. It started out being used for materials to build fuel blocks, which quickly started to drop in price and materials quickly went up, but not before I made some money. Being a trader, I just went back to trading with that money.

Unfortunately, towards the end of the last bond, my Jita alt was up against his order limit and I've spent the late half of the bond not being able to make full use of it.

Anyway, Whole Sale V is finishing in a few hours and Tycoon will be starting. I am looking 2b to augment my trading. Why 8%? WoW x-pack is coming out with in the 30days of this bond and I am playing with my wife.

Copy/Paste from my last one(for the most part)

Anyway, 8% base, 10% if you want at least 30% donated(You get 7%, Charity gets 3%) to a Charity fund, like Vahrokh's Emergencies Relief Trust (https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/Vahrokh's%20Emergencies%20Relief%20Trust)

Like my last bond/loan/whatever,
1) Interest is calculated to the day; Simple math: 1.08^(day/30)
2) Early cash-out is best effort; Double interest rate only counts after the 30 days
3) Any days late for repayment, you get double the interest rate
4) I may end at any time
(copied from my last)
5) Please don't send me money until I send you a response.
(I'm -5gmt so the below )
6) Money must be recieved by 22:00(6pm my time) server time to be counted for the current day, otherwise the interest does not start until the next day.
7) I have until 04:00(11pm my time) server time to pay one back before I have to pay for the next day.
8) Min 500mil

Debts:
950m Long term Loan - Private
750m Long term Loan - Public

I stopped hunting for a high standing Jita trader for now. Too much going on right now and my current alt is doing Good Enough(tm)

I'll be posting pics later, but API is avalible to those legitamately interested.

My advertised rate is the bare minimum, what I actually pay is based on my mood and how well I did over that time period.

Bond #1 300m
Bond #2 500m
Bond #3 1.5b - Just Finished

I'll have pics and explinations later, but it's late and just showing my journal revenue no longer is valid because my two chars swap money.

Because I'm feeling quirky, I'll gladly take the 2b@10% with 3% going to VV's fund.

You can send the money. I won't be able to verify until I get home as I'm heading off to work soon.

I'll consider this filled unless something happens. API on its way, so you can glance it over before you send the money if you want.

edit: /cry, 2 more days until Tycoon... Marketing III and IV needs to be trained..

Quick update, which may affect CorInaXeraL's decision.

I asked a friend a few days back if he wanted to go in with me on 5b, but he didn't reply. I came to MD asking for a smaller loan as I feel less comfortable asking publicly for larger loans.

He just got back to me and is in for 5b, so my other debts are now:
950m private
750m public
5b private

I am still willing to do this bond, but I have no intentions of any more debt.

If Cooklez fails to cover Corina if he drops, I will take the 2 bil at 10%

I have a lover, her name is EVE. I see her every night and all she asks in return is that I have a pilot's license.

I have received the 2b. Bond will be starting today(Sep 14th) and running until Oct 14th.

edit: I know I said I was going to post pics, but that was mostly to land an investor. If anyone is interested for some reason.. following me in MD?... I can post some, otherwise I have no plans to post pics as CorInaXeraL has my API.

When it comes to the open market, I have no rules.

Anyway, who wants to haul 2.5bil in their freighter? That's asking for a gank.

Appreciate your angle though Big smile

edit: I do like sarcastic joking and I don't think it came off trollish, so I enjoyed.

Nothing wrong with blowing up a freighter full of profit. I would invest in such an endeavour any day.

Thats not the open market, thats scamming courier contracts. Entirely the contractors fault and someone else would have done it if you didnt, but it highlights your moral point of view and how you view other people's property. There are no rules in EVE, possession is ten tenths of the law. We all know this. However, you can still apply morals to EVE if thats the way you want to play. Your application of them appears to be hit and miss. You will borrow money and pay it back because you are, apparently, honest and trustworthy and that money is someone else's, yet you will happily keep the property of that contractor instead of returning it as per the terms of the contract, because......?

Just interested, i'm feeling philosophical today.

But you're not feeling like a troll, so all is well. Smile

I guess I should explain my point of view a bit more clearly. I only respect anything that is "personal".

If someone targeted specifically me with a contract, I would have told them flat out that I can't haul that much value, or would have hauled(assuming it was safe) it then warned them no to set the collat so low.

When someone places something in "public trust", they are 100% responsible for themselves.

I see no different between someone setting the collat too low or someone missing a zero and selling to my buy order really cheap.

BTW, I have actually had someone sell something well under price. They quickly emailed me in-game and I did return *most* of the items. I did keep just a few to cover my brokers fee and an extra 5mil for my time.. talking about over 100m of items.

As for the contract, I actually did contact the corp CEO and let him know that I would not haul 2.5b of items and I was willing to work out a long-term investment for the approximate sell value minus the collat that I paid. It has been about a month and he has not responded. My generosity doesn't last forever.

As for calling it a "scam". To me, a scam involves deceiving people by claiming one thing and doing another. There is no deception nor claims being made if I pop a public courier contract. I do agree it is "taking advantage" of a situation, but isn't that what the market is all about?

edit: Forgot to add. To me the "open market" is any offer that is publicly accessible.

with accepting a Courier Contract its pretty clear (to me at least) that you are agreeing to haul these things, regardless what they are worth. As a honest person you could have given the items back after you decided its too risky (tho 20k m³ should fit into an orca~) As stated before, its prolly what most people would have done, but it shows you generic attitude about isk and honesty.

the way you said it, its just normal for you to exploit people that accidently or stupidly set a different colleteral than its actually worth, I wonder what will happen when somebody is stupid enough to send you the isk directly.

Why would you pay it back when you didnt gave these items back?

A courier contract is nothing more than a two-way trade.

First they agree to certain items in exchange for a certain amount of money, but then they offer to buy back said items for the same amount and give you a bonus on top.

"the way you said it, its just normal for you to exploit people that accidently or stupidly set a different colleteral than its actually worth"

I'll have to remember that next time I want to set a buy order 20% below market value.

If the contract was assigned directly to me or my corp, then I would be representing me or my corp, but the contract was assigned to the public, so I was representing the public.

I make a very sharp distinction playing within the game and playing within the meta-game.

oh god, you are really trying to re-define "courier-contract"Roll. ok, before you accept the contract, you cannot see what you are "buying", you just see the size of it, right? so purchasing a certain item is simly not what you do.
It should be clear that you are getting paid for the service of hauling the items and pay a not the items as such. Not everyone who puts up a courier contract is willing to sell the items in it. Also the status "failed" should tell you that something can not be as its supposed to be.

Either stop trying to re-define the easiest things or do it better.

Mmm i'd have to say that i'm with barakach here.

Clear distinction between having a one on one deal or a public deal.I have allways kept my word in eve when i guaranteed people i'd do/give something even when in the end it costed me more isk then i wanted to , but if i'd see a public courier contract with collateral covering 1 B and the value being 5B for example i'd probably do the same as barakach.

I'd see it as someone forgetting a 0 when he sets up a market order. There is totally no connection to you or the person who placed the public contract and no personal agreement. Now if iit was a contract placed to myself as a private courier i'd not even walk off with it if the collateral wasn't even 1 % of the total value.

With this loan above barakach has made a promise/vow to return the isk with interest to his investor , if he does or does not do that in the end is a diffferent thing and we'll see , but you can not compare it to a public set up contract at all.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.
