Gallante Epic Arc

I want to try the Syndication Epic Arc missions but am unsure of just how the standings work and what I require. I have a 3.95 Gall Fed standing and a 2.81 Impetus standing.

Now my question is just which of the 2 is going to be easier for me to get to the required standing first? I'm new to missioning so unsure of the mechanics of faction/corp standings. From what I have read (not sure if correct) I need to get either or the corp/faction standing to 5. If that's the case will a standing of 5 with Gall Fed be enough to unlock the agent for the Epic Arc or will I still have to grind Impetus standings?

If the required standing with Gall Fed is enough to gain access to these missions would I be quicker raising it doing lvl 4 Security missions rather than anything else?

Thank you in advance, any help with this is much appreciated.

The problem with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and putting things in it.

Either/or. As long as one of the standings is over 5.00 and the other is above -2.00 you can access the starter agent.

Grinding federation storylines is probably the quickest way, though not necessarily L4 storylines. If you can complete L3 missions significantly faster than L4s, that might be a better way to go.

Note though that if you're having trouble running L4s in the first place, the epic arc might be quite a challenge. The harder missions might just rip you a new one; they're significantly harder than usual. Should be more manageable if you bring a friend though.

Yes, providing neither of them is worse than -2 you need one of those (Gallente faction or Impetus corp) on the sunny side of 5.0 ... lvl4 mission access standings.

Which is quicker?

It's arguable, but I am faced with very similar situation myself. I chose to go work the (only) impetus lvl3 security agent until I get corp standings over 5 ... and I'll get a bit of faction standings boost on the way via the storylines. One benefit of doign this via corp standings is that, unless you let faction get worse than -2 you are never goign to lose that corp standings.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

There's a level 3 agent with a storyline in system / station for Impetus, I simply blitz level 3's to gain my access.

Personally I think it's easier to grind the Corporation standing for access.

However, if you're looking for agents to boost positive Faction standings, completing missions for the Gallente Event Agents listed in the 'Plan' will help.

Impetus is easier than Gallante. Storyline missions are once every 16, and ones like materials for war preparation give almost no faction standing boost. Also, faction standings go down if you balance factions, but once Impetus standing goes up, it will stay up for you to rerun the epic arc every 3 month until Eve dies...

If you're really lazy/impatient, pay a standings service to do it for you.

Impetus would be easier, but the epic arc is really hard. If ya had the skills do the epic arc, standings dont matter at all really.

Thank you all for your input, I ran some courier missions which did very little for my standings but with 2 storyline missions I now have the required corp standings to start the Epic Arc.

I'm now wary of just how tough these missions are and doubt very much I will be attempting them on my own. For some reason I don't think a raven is gona cut it for these ones lol.

The problem with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and putting things in it.

Ok I stand corrected, I flew to the agent Eron Viette (listed as Epic Arc Agent) and started conversation, her reply was "I'm sorry but what I've got is promised to another pilot already. Could you come back later?"

I have a 5.99 standing with Impetus Corp and 4.35 with Gall Fed and the agent is showing as available to me via the agent finder but in station it says the agent is unavailable to me. Does anyone know what I have done wrong or what I need to do to access these missions?

Thank you once again in advance for any help rendered.

The Gallente Epic arc is what I consider the most difficult of the four level 4 arcs as you will face "independent veteran" battleships in many of the missions. You will know what I am talking about the first time you encounter them. Further, the mission titled "A Different Kind of Director" is a death trap if you let your Raven be hot dropped by Mercenary Wingmen and Commanders.

If you do not mind spoilers I can recommend looking at the mission guides on my Lorebook site in my signature below.

Listen to him , I already did the epic 3 times and it is indeed one of the hardest and a different lind of director is actually a warming up , if you survive thaét in a raven you still have the mission showtime to do

My advice take some friends with you for this epic arc if you never done this before

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

Interesting. I've run them all several times now and still find the amarr one to have the tougher encounter missions ... followed by Gallante, then Caldari, and then Minmatar.

I ran the first 2 missions with no problems then ran into problems with Priority One, the DPS was insane right from the start. I was webbed by several frigs from the get go and just about got out with half armour. The mission sucks due to the distance required to travel to each gate from initial warp, in a BS with no prop mods it takes foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to reach each gate only to have to wapr out 30 secs later lol.

I will defo be trying this with some friends as its beyond a Ravens tank it seems.

Thank you for all the help guys, and for the guides Jowen Datloran as much as I hate to read how to fly missions I think this is one that some recon is needed :P
