EVE hasn't affected my real life, but I'm starting to lose all my steam and xbox live friends because I neglect pretty much every single other game.
Actually now that I think about it, my family might be worried about me. I'll go outside and check, assuming I can navigate through these piles of cheetoh crumbs, red bull cans, and dorito bags.

*Edit* I went outside and my family called the police, they thought I was an intruder. That really puts thing into perspective, but I have to .01 some orders now.

Pasta!!!

So I ask this question more so out of curiosity then anything.

Have any of you been affected by events in real life from your eve addiction?

Such as wife leaving you etc, losing your job from taking to much time off work to play eve?

Weekends are now spent indoors playing eve etc.

Hm. Well so much of my RL has been subsumed into EVE that I'm not sure I'd know how to answer the question......

There is no real life, there is only AFK.

okay i got to ask you

aren't you concerned that you are calling it "real life" ?
because this sounds a bit redundant and everything

i think its called "life" and if you call it "real life" you kind of giving away the fact you have issue right there

as to the questions:

Such as wife leaving you etc, - why would you marry somebody who does not love computer games, that is just asking for trouble

losing your job from taking to much time off work to play eve? - you can take time of work to play eve? what kind of jobs you guys have

Weekends are now spent indoors playing eve etc. - do not tell me you go outside, case you have not notice there is a giant nuclear reaction thing going on that will harm you if you expose yourself to it, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun
you can also check this out by going outside, but dont worry, it is only there half of the time so you can go to the store and stuff

For Red Bull, Coffee, Mountain Dew and the essential food groups, which must include bacon & thinly sliced fried potato products

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I'm sure lots of people have missed lots of important stuff in life by playing Eve instead, but most of that group would have been playing something else instead of doing said important stuff if Eve wasn't around. I am pretty sure everyone here has played too much of one game or another, but most people are all about RL first.

I feel like an amateur, I had to use a whole patio and some concrete to stop mine leaving, she is quiet these days though.

Im happily marries with two kids and a third on the way, I work full time and yet can put enough time into Eve to CEO a succesful corp.

Its about how you manage your life, balance it with Eve and also about wether you are beaten into submission by your woman and not allowed to play a computer game too much. Works just fine for me as I dont fear my wife, and she understands that my time is my time. She does what she wants, I do what I want and yet we still have time for a little sex :)

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.
