Need Help With Probes Please

I have a core probe launcher, but every probe I have had won't load into the launcher. I googled how to LAUNCH a probe but only got guides on how to USE probes. When I try to load in says launcher only has .08 space and probe is .10 I'm missing something here, someone please help.

Core Probe Launchers can only fit Core Scanner Probes (and their two faction variants). Combat and deep space probes require an Expanded Probe Launcher (as do survey probes, but those are another beast entirely).
