I've heard that they're going to be more medium range, so I'm curious to see if they will provide competition to other med-long range anti frig platforms (caracal and the like.) your thoughts?

Aren't they meant for orbital strikes in Dust?

Edit: No, no they're not lol. Judging from the devblog, they won't really be as suited for anti-frig duties like the T1s (reduced speed, most likely reduced agility). They'll still be deadly for frigs that pick a fight, but they won't be able to ensare them as readily. They'll have to function more like mini-cruisers, maybe anti-dessies.

As for orbital strikes, it DOES make sense the old dessies would get that role, so the new dessies will prolly find a role defending against the old dessies.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

We already got 4 long range destroyers, or did you not notice the 50% bonus to optimal range? Cormorants can already throw over 110dps out to 75km. I am expecting the new destroyers to be more like short-range brawl bricks, with the drone ones bristling with neuts
