Before God I do solemnly swear...

As part of my rehabilitation I publicly make the following oaths:

Oath of Fealty: I hereby swear my fealty first to God, to his character and commandments revealed in his revelation to Man, the Scriptures, and to his divine authority. I hereby swear my fealty second to the Amarr Empire, built upon the foundation of faith in God and chosen to carry God's light to all people, to its Empress, ordained of God to lead his people and to its law, written to mirror the law of God.

Oath of Faith: I hereby declare that my faith is in the One True God, supreme over all creation and sovereign over the will of Man. I determine to uphold the tenets of my faith in the face of great adversity, to never relent in the face of opposition and to persevere through all tests of faith.

Oath of Order: I hereby align myself to the Order of Light's Retribution and the principles upon which it stands, swearing compliance and dedication in all aspects of life, duty and service. I will conduct myself with wisdom, faith and discretion as I serve the Order and submit myself to its guidance and leadership for so long as I perceive it not to be in conflict with the Oath of Faith and the Oath of Fealty.

Moreover I hereby swear to abide by the following tenets of my Order, taking them and making them my own in my life of service hereafter:

Faith: All members of the Order are expected to be followers of the Amarr faith, subservient to the God of that faith and conducting themselves in accordance with that faith. It is expected that all members of the Order be grounded in their faith, uncompromising in its relevance but willing to challenge their understanding of it. The mission of the Amarr Empire is to cultivate the spirit of Man, salvation is found only through faith.

Duty: Duty to God, Empire and the Order. Members of the Order of Light's Retribution, in accordance with their fealty to the above are expected to serve to the best of their capabilities in whatever station they are filling. Duty is borne of conviction and our conviction is borne of faith, to abandon one's duty is to abandon one's faith. Duty may be questioned appropriately but never opposed outright, it may be challenged but never forsaken.

Humility: In direct contrast to the hubris that has heralded the fall of Man time and again, members of the Order are expected to conduct themselves with humility. It is through humility that we demonstrate our submission to God and dedication to duty. Even when standing upon truth and in righteousness, humility is expected for it is through humility that we put to shame the defiance of our opponents.

Compassion: Just as God has compassion upon his creation, just as this compassion is written through Scripture, so are members of the Order expected to possess compassion toward their fellow Man. The innocent, the burdened, the weak, the wandering, the rebellious; all are in need of something. To those with much, much is expected. Through compassion we may meet the needs of others and through meeting their needs may we show them their greater need for God or strengthen their faith in him.

Integrity: We are the messengers of God, his Angels of Mercy and Wrath; we are the way in which the cluster views God. Our character is how others will judge God, our words are how others will perceive God's will. Members of the Order must be ever vigilant against corruption, beholden to their word and wise in their actions, beyond reproof whenever possible.

Patience: Impatience breeds recklessness. Members of the Order are expected to practice patience in all things, be it decisions that must be made, conversations that test the heart or opposition. Acting when necessary, contemplative at all times and patient when possible. Avoid acting and speaking when impatient lest you destroy what you have built up with reckless abandon.

Wisdom: Listen before speaking. Question before assuming. Consider alternatives and consequences before acting. Forsake pride, forsake hatred, forsake bitterness for they serve you naught. Members of the Order are expected to seek wisdom and employ it in all areas of their lives. We cannot hope to rebuild if we are too busy destroying.

The Order of Light's Retribution hereby acknowledges and accepts these oaths and the oath taker. By taking these oaths publicly, you have placed yourself upon the threshing floor and your actions henceforth shall be weighed in light of them.

May God shine his light upon you as you tread this path before you, squire.

I wonder and must ask why anyone should choose Order of Light's Retribution instead of any other religious cult originating from the Amarr?

If I would turn to God for guidance. Why shouldn't I just join up with PIE or any other entity that has made their stamp in history already?

I can not of course answer on behalf of Mr Amith but as i find this a very interesting point raised, Mr Amith please allow me to simply offer a very small intervention on the matter.

Mr Ordo, some Corporations/organizations etc. simply because they are young in years does not mean that they can not make great or even greater stamps in history. In addition, newly created forms of organization no matter the cause they have chosen to take part into, can offer a great platform to enhance the status quo, help new ideas and initiatives circulate.

Not every Corporation is an identical one with one another and not every Corporation will achieve the same as one another.

I applaud the Order of Light's Retribution as it offers a new route of action helping the Amarrian Empire without forgetting what does it mean to be an Amarrian. Something that cant be said for many Amarrians out there.

I also applaud Ms Mai decision, as i am sure she had similar thoughts of why join the Order and not another well established Organization. Mr Amith can be most certain that Ms Mai is a person who welcomes challenge and does not seek the easy way out. Something that Amarrian ranks seem to be of need desperately.

I wish prosperity and well being to the Order, even though our goals are not identical.

To ask this, I feel, would be akin to asking, "Why should I bother getting out of bed in the morning when nothing will come of it?" It's a self-fulfilling prophesy and, on the whole, a very destructive mindset.

If there was only one way to make history, the universe would be immensely boring, indeed.

As someone who has not exhibited the best judgement in the past I should state that I don't feel comfortable sitting in judgement on a group with the long established reputation of PIE. Suffice it to say that there were certain elements of the corporate culture in the Order of Light's Retribution that appealed to me specifically.

That said, I have the greatest of respect for PIE inc and the work they do on behalf of both God and the Empire.

Order of Light's Retribution might be a shot lived thing I hear, though personally I'd wish for that not to be true.

I welcome all possible recruits that Azdan has contacted to send a mail to me and I'll make sure you'll get into an Amarrian loyalist corp, PIE. That includes Amaki.

If it was a mere false rumor I give my apologizes to Azdan, I have nothing but respect for him and I am just trying to give the faithful a common banner to fly under.

No offense taken, Recruiter Mirra.

Sadly, your information is not inaccurate. I have recommended to Miss Mai that she pursue your offer to join PIE.

You are most welcome to apply to PIE also, even if it's only to pursue your theological goals.
