Hisec is not just the afk carebear. It is not just the mission runner. This is the arrogance that makes getting any type of unified hisec behavior or goals going a complete pain in the ass.
How can you say that someone who wants to see highsec nerfed into the ground, apparently has written a manifesto on how to grief industrialists and casuals, is representative of anything but sadomasochism?

Exactly, mere observation of demographical forum posting speaks for itself.

I tried to start my EVE career as a non "carebear" but man some people just put the ick in prick. Ugh

What James315 is doing is nothing new, he's just good at marketing an old idea and he's having some fun doing it. There is nothing to prevent you doing it to him or god forbid even setting a merc corp on him as he has now left the NPC corp and is open to wardecs.

Personally I think it's as amusing as hell, gave him some iskies and did some artwork, any player created content in hisec is a good thing.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Not a big fan of blogs but I read some from known players. Sometimes I don't like it sometimes I do, but information in this blog (TheMitani.com) is well written (important for not english native) and offers the opportunity to who whants to disagree to expose his own arguments, witch for me makes it an interesting blog and not exactly one sided vision/version that turns out being misinformation.

Not that this matters to all of the Riverini alt characters and en24 sychophants, but even as a GSF memeber I prefer to get my news about what we do from themittani.com because unlike our jabber broadcasts and 2nd hand information gathered during fleets and chats, there are detailed, accurate writeups of things I missed while not being logged on and instead of having to sift through these awful forums or CAOD for alliance shakeups, it's all there and as fairly reported as is possible.

We have articles from Lazerspewpew of all people, a person that I guarantee most of GSF and the CFC at large despise. He's like el-chupacabra for anyone who likes to rat or do pve things in our space, and yet there he is writing about how he owns us all. We had an interview with the leader of NC., who we all hate pretty much and are actively destroying. Don't tell me we're biassed. You want biassed? Get your news from our jabber (we know you have spies), you want accuracy? Read the website.

This is splitting hairs here. He's a representative of the hisec voice. If you think there is another voice that needs to be heard, make it heard. I'm not saying he's right; at best he amuses me with his role-playing. It's fun but at times it is also a bit out of hand and slips into bombastic bullying. However Hisec is not just industrialists and miners. I think hisec participants have to accept that gankers, ninjas, wardeccers etc.. are all part of that family.

But I digress. The entire point of this thread was that I thought Mittani.com was a good addition to the overall voices in the metagame. The news realm in particular which has been held hostage to EN24's biased ranting as of late. Most of what I've heard in response is "gross it's a goon!" Pathetic. Overall Goons are pretty damn low on the list of threats to hisec.

Moving on.

By the way: If you want to write an opinion piece on something eve related yourself you will even get paid for submitting them (if you are a mildly talented writer that is).
There is really nothing stopping you from publishing your views on tm.com and no, they will not get filtered out by our evil editors that want to push the nullsec agenda.

There is a few people who have invested heavily into the website. They spent months working on it and need it to do well with site hits. Hence, the massive amount of alts they are using to promote the site left and right. There is also reports of admins on the site (Andski is one of them I believe - now you know why he is in every thread about it defending its honor) of removing comments and or IP address bans for things that are not deemed pro-CFC. Yes, yes, they advertise they are unbiased until they are called out on things. Resorting to waving away comments proclaiming the article is now an 'opinion piece'.

Does this mean that evenews24 is a better news site? Of course not. If anything they need each other. Like I mentioned in a previous thread (one started by a goon alt of course), competition is good. Will the EVE community eventually find an EVE news related website that delivers unbiased articles backed up by solid facts? Probably not.

Every news source has an agenda and this new one is no different. Even in his own words, this website was launched as an answer to someone he hates and to gain more control of the game. So if you want news, do yourself a favor; if you visit one, check the other.

Or better yet, get out there and make your own news! Cool

EDIT: Fun fact! That 'Intel Drop Box' only comes into play when it is intel on non-blues to goons. If the intel dropped has enough information on a friendly, the IP address is logged to help find hostile spies and the operation is scrapped and no intel is released on the website about the tip. Shocking I know. Lol

Thats just your mind playing tricks on you or having an oversized latency.
Don't worry, we all have atleast 2 x 85ms latency when communicating.

It just got a bit out of hand in this particular communication.
