People whine about the CFC blob and demand a titan buff.

CFC continue to curbstomp with their massive titan fleet and the calls of blob don't end.

No whining here just sincere inquiry. I think my second question however is relevant, do people see any real way to stop the blob especially as resources shift to CFC (and friends) to fuel the ongoing war machine without tracking titans?

Tracking titans made it impossible to win against the sov powerblocks if you have no way to produce titans. Whice means 90% of the playerbase are relegated to useless. Titan blobs are by far the worst blob.

Interesting. So it seems that the only real solution is make friends and use interesting tactics or get the hell off the field. Good point.

Give Titans a system wide EMP pulse when they jump in. It would the space equivalent of everyone crapping their pants.

Add also 50 small turrets and 20 medium ones on the darn Titan...They should be standard (even when the titan is unfitted). Oh and no ammo required for these turrets.Big smile

They should make Titans do damage if you collide into them, then have your fleet push you into the enemy fleet.

To prevent titan blobbing add a mechanic that lowers their resists for every other titan within 8km of them. To prevent subcap blobbing add capital sized smartbombs, and bring back titan tracking and AOE DD (with lower damage though). This has the added bonus of not having to look at 150 titans all inside each other -- that really breaks my immersion.

Alternately, cyno mass limit to prevent titan blobbing.

Alternately, allow subcaps to dock in titans. That would be a good enough buff that the titan pilots will be happy with their 130b ISK purchase.

"Blobs" (excluding Tengu blobs which are heinously overpowered) are counterable by bombers, sniper HACs, etc. We've lost a number of drakefleets and alphafleets this way.

It's the relentless sov grinding that people really struggle to defeat, not one particular large fleet. There is presently no counter for DBRB.

CCP should change their role to a smartbombing ship,
with 25km additional range and 1000 additional damage per skill level, rank 16.

The fact is, a dreadnought today is equivalent to a titan in combat, yet the titan costs 50x as much.

you're right, people fit doomsdays on dreads and they have 30-60M EHP tanks

also the reason supercapitals received the massive EHP buff they did in Dominion was because of the removal of AoE DDs and replacement with targeted DDs and the addition of fighter-bombers

anybody who wants AoE DDs back should just unsub because they're not coming back

Titans were broken as hell before, they definitely do not need a buff.

I'd also like to point out that numbers win wars in real life too. Advanced weapons only magnify what an army can do, they don't win battles for you. You will never see 500 defeat 5000 if both sides are committed.

Oh, and FYI, the Spartans lost at Thermopylae.

totally i mean the valley of tears proved that!Roll

edit:
. The next day, the Syrians mounted a second attack, and at one point in the engagement less than forty Israeli tanks were facing approximately 500 Syrian tanks.

guess who won?

my idea for titans is they can plug into outposts that give them increased defense and offence capabilities... (this would be the destructible stations we are looking for)

I know my titans could use a EHP buff...

Someone has done the frigging olympics with them..

Once you think you have it all, you have actually become ignorant towards everything else.

As opposed to making a titan blob a requirement to actually compete in nullsec? Which scenario do you think is more realistic for an alliance trying to get a foothold in 0.0 - magically gaining 60+ titans and managing to keep them all fueled and reimbursed in the case of a loss (believe it or not, moving a gigantic supercapital blob around isn't cheap) or what literally every sovholding alliance has done, making friends and using interesting tactics?

Titan BLOBS need a nerf. Titans individually need a buff because right now it's stupid that a 100b ISK ship can't defend itself from 5 frigates.
