If there were ships that you can dock your ship and launch from - a bit like a mobile station - I think it could be fun!

i like idea, if we can have some frigs that looks like raiders why not Galactica and Pegasus even Cylon base star :)

yes i think the concept of a "battlestar" is awesome... a ship that can use bs' sized weapons and use 10 fighters would be awesome...

make it so it has to go into seige mod to use the fighters and get a boost to large turret/missle damage...

make it the size of a frieghter so it can go threw gates...

almost like the eq of a destroyer or bc but for bs's....

its pretty much an enhanced version of the "escort carrier" concept that been floating around features and ideas discusion..

think about it a ship the size a a firighter that uses bs's sized weapons that can use up to 10 fighters...
it can only use the fighters in siege mode...

this is the escort carrier you are looking for...

We have ships the size of Battlestars, they are called Battleships and who cares if there fighters are manned or not. Point is they got them and 5 is enough really, I want more I will get a dedicated Carrier.

no not the size of a battleship the size of a freighter...
it would be like the 1970's battlestar so no jump drive only warp dive but can go threw stargates...

it would be a less skill intensive capital ship...

example does not need jump drive operation or capital weapons or capital mods...

5 "dog" fighters would add 350 dps with fighters V... plus 8 large guns/missles

note dog fighters are "air" superiority fighters and are designed to kill fighters and fighter bombers...

these would be anti sub capital capital ships that would take the "sting off of carriers and super carriers" plus it would have a big enough sig radius that cap ships are doing max damage and sub cap ships are doing max damage to it...

I would call them juggernauts...
