…if you're using an abbreviation that you might think isn't well established in the context already, such as say AM or PM in the context of time, or PC in the context of computing. Or SBU in the context of EVE. So yes, it's pretty lazy and, on top of that, pretty silly to be upset that others would not indulge your laziness.

For others who may want to know you can find out here.

You may find these helpful too:
* EVElopedia - Glossary
* EVElopedia - MMOG Lexicon
* EVElopedia - Chatting Lexicon

Google Tips:
* Anywhere on EVE site: "site:eveonline.com" (no quotes) followed by search phrases.
* EVE New Forums: "site:forums.eveonline.com" (no quotes) followed by search phrases.
* EVE Old Forums: "site:community.eveonline.com" (no quotes) followed by search phrases.
* EVE Support: "site:support.eveonline.com" (no quotes) followed by search phrases.
* EVElopedia: "site:wiki.eveonline.com" (no quotes) followed by search phrases.

ISK The Guide is also handy (CTRL F to search that with Acroreader, and F3 to find next).

obviously not as much as you think
What I've learned more than anything is that I suspect the number one reason new people quit this game has less to do with the game itself and more to do with it's community, fortunately I'm a stubborn bastard and I won't be run off by a bunch of draconian neckbeards so easily. Bear

Instead of being lazy, you should have just looked it up in the first place, then you wouldn't have had to insult people to make up for your laziness.
It's not laziness, when using acronyms it's common courtesy (CC) to write it out the first time followed by the acronym in parentheses, then use the acronym each time after that. If someone fails to provide that CC they should be called on it, for the benefit of others.

You've sucessfully hijacked yet another thread. Stick to the OP. This thread isn't about elitist neck beards. You're being rude. This is about SBU's, or it used to be anyways.

Wouldn't it actually be about "SBUs" rather than the possessive noun "SBU's"? [trollface]

How exactly do you get an average of 109 likes a day anyway?

I remember one CSM candidate getting excessive numbers of likes in a short period, but can't recall exactly which. I'd know if I bothered reading back a bit and looking for a familiar post, or maybe if I just checked the last CSM election threads. Names just a half inch away..
